History: Born and raised in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn, Daegal grew up as the son of one of the toughest anti-organized crime cops in the city. For various reasons he started taking lessons with a Yamasaki-sensei, and trained in a judo variant with some Japanese pro wrestling techniques thrown in. Initially worked on keeping his school safe via gratuitous bodily harm, eventually discovering that he posessed mutant powers that granted him strength, speed, and durability. Unfortunately, the powers don't kick in until Daegal is in a certain amount of pain, which he thinks is kind of a gyp. Eventually graduated from school-based crime fighter to full-fledged street vigilante, doing whatever damage he could to the local crime syndicates with the tacit support and protection of the local cops. His effectiveness earned him numerous nicknames, including "The Brooklyn Brawler", "Scarface", and "That Guy Who Keeps Beating Up Our Guys". But after running into Miya while beating on a clueless mugger, he found his way to the Xavier Institute, where he's determined to avoid stupid nicknames and spandex.
