It is now four and a half hours after your previous mission. You have just finished a meeting in Dejiko's office where she essentially told you to pack and get ready to leave. ( She was awake long enough? ) (*snerk*) (Yes. She got the first sleep she'd had in 76 hours, and it did her a world of good.) ( Dejiko is weak. Togo hasn't gotten any shuteye for two years. =P ) (He's had no eyes to shut. :P) ( EXACTLY! ) In another half-hour, after you have, it is hoped, packed all your belongings, she comes around to the rooms telling you to meet her in front of the hotel. Togo, Marguerite, and Robert are instructed to bring their weapons, but to try to do so discreetly, if at all possible. ( Togo always carries his guns, so it'd be odd if he wasn't. =P ) (Right, whatever.) In front of the hotel are a sleek limosine and KITT. * Togo makes sure his guns are in his holsters and adequately concealed by his trenchcoat before stepping out in front of the hotel. * Marguerite shows up in her punk disguise, guns invisible. And so you gradually arrive there. Hopefully. (And, action.) * Marguerite looks right and left. "They had better not have lost my fucking hog, or I'm going to have someone's ass." * Robert steps out in his suit and coat, guns not visible on his person. * Yoji walks up carrying his bag, looking incredibly relieved to be dressed casually. * Rina peeks out from behind the (heavy) box she's carrying. "Here we go again." Marguerite's Harley is sitting there, too. * Togo leans against a wall, and takes a deep breath. * Marguerite looks at it carefully. "Good." * Sayuri is still wearing her crazy goth outfit, carrying her backpack around. Hi Rina! ^_^ * Yoji starts to wave, then realizes Rina can't wave back and stops. * Rina grins. "Hi Yoji." Dejiko approaches you as you come out, glancing around to make sure everyone's here. * Sayuri looks over at Dejiko, and looks less unpleased than normal. (Retcon the heavy box thing. :P Apparently, I don't have it. ^^;) "Alright. Robert, Togo, Margie, and Yoji, you will be going to the airport to guard our private hangar. There was a break-in by GCI agents last night, and we think they might make another try today, sine we'll be leaving before too long. * Togo nods. You guys will be taking KITT, except for Marguerite, who is less likely to get into a fight with her motorcycle. 'kay. * Rina giggles. (This is because it doesn't talk back to me. ^_^) * Marguerite snatches her helmet off the seat and slips it on. ( That's what you think! Robert's been doing some extra work... ) Jaqueline, Rina, and Sayuri, you are with me, in the limo. Jacqueline, we'll be visiting some friends of yours. C'mon, let's go. ( ...sorry. KITT is unique. I think. ) * Jacqueline nods. * Yoji mumbles something about overly serious people under his breath. * Rina shifts her duffel bag and nods. The limo driver opens the limo, and Dejiko gets in. * Robert opens the driver's door and hops in the van. * Rina climbs in the limo. Yay! * Jacqueline hops in the limo. * Yoji gets in the van. * Sayuri frowns heavily, and climbs into the limo too. * Togo gets in the back of the van. * Rina reaches back to tug on her ponytail, then frowns slightly when she grasps air. Kitt? You gonna start? * Marguerite hops on the cycle, pets it a little, and then kickstarts it. ... * Yoji digs around in his pocket and produces headphones. He puts them on, fiddles with something in his pocket, and then leans back into his seat with a happy little sigh. * Jacqueline leans back and crosses her arms behind her head. ( Shinji! ) * Robert toggles the manual override and starts the van. Fine, I'll drive. ( Does that mean he gets a giant robot, and runs away all the time? ) ( Shinji doesn't do anything happily. :P ) * Robert drives away to the hangar. ( He runs away happily. Or eat defeated angels. ) (Rina, Sayuri, Jackie, into #Estate, please.) * Marguerite follows. * Togo takes out a whole buncha ammo clips, and starts checking each of them. Try not to drop any bullets, Togo. * Yoji very quietly sings along with whatever he's listening to. I don't drop bullets. * Togo drops a bullet. ... Exactly. Right. Careful it is. Pick it up, or KITT will pitch a fit. ( *snicker* ) * Marguerite tunes her helmet radio to the closest thing to hard rock she can find. Marguerite finds several stations playing the form of rock that has come to be referred to by it's practitioners as 'Noise'. You guys hit any trouble on your end of the mission? "Amazing, these Chinese." None. It made me rather nervous, actually. I don't think I've ever had a mission come off that well. Figures. We ran into a coupla B-class bots and an A-class. (It's the new album from the band Static, "White Noise". And their live album, "Feedback".) And I missed it? I envy you, Togo. It was an interesting experience. Me and Mad Dog kept the A- class busy while Rina grabbed Sayuri, ran through its legs, and got the stuff. And somehow, we didn't even get a scratch. Smooth. Whose idea was that? Rina's. * Robert grins. Kid's got spunk. Good insticts too. Yep. She's just gotta figure out that she's got a head for this stuff, 'cause she doesn't realize it yet. She'll pick up on it eventually. Just gotta lead her into it. ... any idea why nobody ever gave Yoji here any body armor? Not a clue. Mine won't fit him, but I could probably rig him up some, given time. Would probably be smart. He's not trained to dodge bullets, and the first gaping chest wound is always the worst. You soon arrive at the airport. I'll say. Isn't that nice? * Robert pulls up to the hangar. * Marguerite slides the cycle up in a stylish maneuver. * Togo gathers up the clips and slips them back into his coat. * Yoji removes his headphones. Togo, you want to open the hangar? * Togo nods. ( Is it locked? Was I given a key if so? ) (No and yes.) *** Demotafk has joined #ChibiRPG (As in, no, the door isn't locked, but yes, you were given a key for it.) * Togo hops out of the van and heads over to open up the hangar. *** Demota has quit IRC (Ping timeout ) *** Demotafk is now known as Demota The hangar doesn't seem afraid of Togo, which shows you what a stupid hangar it is. ::nod:: * Togo nods sagely, then pauses, wondering why he did that. (Er. You can go inside anytime you like. Honest.) ( I was waiting for the others to show signs of life. =P ) ( Go ahead and open the doors. ) * Togo opens the doors. * Robert drives into the hangar and stops. * Marguerite revs the cycle and drives through. Inside is the plane, same as it was before. The rear loading ramp is open, and it might be large enough to hold MArgie's bike, although the'll probabably have to arrange other transportation for KITT. * Marguerite pulls her DE and drives up the ramp, slowly. * Robert parks KITT and climbs out. * Yoji gets out of the van. (Do I spot anything amiss?) Near the plane are a couple of large crates, and Richard is sittin on one of them. He and another man with grey hair are taking some bloody bandages off of his right shoulder. You need any help with that? 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (2d6) and gets 10. (Guess not.) * Yoji blinks at the bandages. "What happened?" Richard looks up. "Oh, hey guys. Nah, I'm fine. Grampa's helping me with this. Got shot a few times in last night's attack." * Marguerite parks the bike, pulls off her helmet, and strides back down the ramp. "Jesus, Richard!" Well, stay under cover if there's another attack. I don't want you getting killed. * Robert pulls out Reason and turns on the sensor package. You got SHOT?! * Yoji looks horrified. It happens in this line of work. That's why me and Robert were sayin' you should get some body armor to wear on missions. Huh? Armor? Armor. Something to keep between you and things that people use to hurt you. * Togo taps his clothes. "My clothes are made of an advanced material. Looks like normal cloth, but it's better'n kevlar." "Huh? Yeah. Five rounds took me in my shoulder here. Messy wounds, too." I've got mostly standard tactical body armor. "And yeah, if you're not wearing some kind of protection already, it'd be a good idea to get some." * Togo nods. "Lightweight's better, but anything's better than nothing." * Marguerite walks up behind Robert. "What, did they aim for you because you were the cutest one, or what?" * Yoji grins. "Don't worry, I've got protection already." S(Robert/Richard) (Wow. Bad typo there. Damn muscle relaxants.) * Robert hops in KITT's back end and starts putting on his armor. Yeah, but in case your powers get knocked out like they did in that castle, or you get surprised... it's best to be prepared. ...oh. Yeah. * Robert comes back out dressed in his tactical body armor, complete with helmet, though the visor is currently up. You can never have enough protection. After all, you never know when someone will take it upon themselves to fire artillery at you. Or something worse. * Marguerite shrugs. "All I have is padded clothing. I tend to kill things before they have a chance to hit me." (Robert comes out in his Full Plate Armor +1.) ( Heh. ) Yeah, but you know how to dodge better'n Yoji here. ( I'm not sure if it's as good as magical, but it sure tries. ) * Marguerite rubs her leg. "Yeah, and sometimes even that doesn't work." * Robert checks Reason's sensors. The man Richard labeled as his grandfather finishes putting new dressing on Richard's wounds. Richard thanks him and wanders off to properly dispose of his old bandages. The old man takes a seat on a smaller crate, near an automatic shotgun. You dodged enough so it didn't take your leg off. That's a success in my book. Better than a bullet in the head, and you could probably keep shooting. * Yoji looks at the plane. * Marguerite chuckles. "Well, you're right there. Although that thing had enough armor to repel most of a plasma burst, so if Togo hadn't hit it in the circuits, I might have had worse anyways." Yeah, it was kinda disappointing when my big secret attack barely gave it an itch. The real secret lies in bigger guns, and the fact that plasma eats through armor like H2SO4. * Robert whistles a little tune. Ah, that brings back chemistry class. * Togo shrugs. "I trained on these guns, I've used 'em all my life. If I can't get by with them, so be it." I could rebuild them. I have the technology. Well, I doubt you've had to tango with one of... whatever that thing was. ... nah. These guns are family heirlooms. Rather not have them messed with. Your choice. I could try to make better ammo, I suppose, but there's only so much you can do before you start damaging the gun. * Marguerite nods. Gunsmithing's tricky with small arms. * Togo nods. "Well, I've got armor piercing rounds... maybe some explosive rounds for once I've already made the hole?" HEAP ammo is nice, but it's _not_ made to be fired from a handgun. Maybe something that releases a little acid? Dunno, I'm one for using stock ammo myself. I don't want to think about acid bullets. ... hmm. I heard once about rounds that release a magnetic pulse upon impact. That works great in anime and comics, but in practice? Designed for taking out bots. Depends on if the thing you're firing at has EMP shielding. Getting crystal that's strong enough to resist the accelleration upon firing, but still able to break on impact... * Marguerite stares off into space for a minute. Reinforced circuitry. Most mil-spec electronics have it as a matter of course. *** Sonny has joined #ChibiRPG I heard about 'em as being researched, but that was a few years back... For other things, though, they would probably work fairly well. Stopping consumer vehicles, for instance. *** Sonny has left #ChibiRPG * Togo shrugs. "I'll have to look into it. Might come in handy." That or I'll find a tac nuke. ...I certainly hope we don't ever need one. * Marguerite shakes her head and looks back at Robert. "The acid would work, but it would be really tricky and involve a lot of timing. Not the sort of thing I'm good at." All I've got now are APs, hollow points and normal stuff. Nuke? Jesus. Nukes've caused enough trouble. And a few smoke grenades... *grins slightly* * Yoji wanders around the hangar, obviously bored by the discussion. I've got AP, hollow, and ball ammo for Reason. Aside from that, I've got a few secret weapons, but I find I haven't needed them much. AP, rubber, and HP. ... had I eyebrows, this is where I'd raise one, Robert. And, of course, ChemClips for Bubba. Of course. Can't forget Bubba. The wonderful part is that I never have to fire enough to reload. * Marguerite grins. As for my secrets, Togo... I'm like a boy scout, but prepared. * Yoji sits down on one of his crates and produces his sketchbook from his bag. He places it across his knees and begins to draw something or other. I like to have something for any situation. * Marguerite pulls out her DE and a rag, and starts polishing. "There are really only two situations. One where you need to shoot everything that moves, and one where you don't." I used to think like that. Then I ran into a few too many situations that required hardware I didn't have. * Marguerite shrugs. "Usually, if my employers required a special objective, then they had to supply it." One of the perks of being a merc. Or buildings would explode "on accident". I did mostly bounty hunting before and with GCI, so I rarely needed anything but my pistols. Bounty hunting got me into too many squabbles with the employer, when the "OR ALIVE" requirement was preferred to the "DEAD", and nobody bothered to tell me. Wasn't much of a choice. Family business and all. Ah. The Army was my family business, and ... * Marguerite pauses. Well, let's just say it turned out badly. * Togo nods. "We all got our demons in our past." Shit happens sometimes. It's not necessary to talk if you don't feel the need. * Robert checks Reason's sensors. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (2d6) and gets 6. Must've been part of Dejiko's hiring criteria... Heh. Seems like it, huh. * Marguerite reaches into her sweatshirt pouch, and retrieves a pack of Camel unfiltereds and a lighter. * Yoji speaks up. "Not me!" ^_^ * Marguerite lights up one and stashes the rest. She keeps the lighter out, and keeps flipping it open and shut. Fucking bad habit, I know. Tryin'a quit. Session Time: Thu Jan 17 00:00:00 2002 Useful, sometimes. Relieves stress. Still bad, but occasionally useful. * Yoji returns to his drawing. The occasional snicker can be heard from his direction. Life expectancy ain't good in this line of work, so what's it matter? That is exactly why I started. But yannow, it's not a smoker's world anymore. Yeah, I know. Hasn't been for a long time. Haveta go outside, haveta wait for the plane ride to be over... It's a pain in the ass. Well, I used to hang out in the kind of joints that would lose half their business if they put in a no-smoking section, But since the GCI, I've been smoking less and less. Too bad they never made those smokeless cigarettes. One of the few videogame ideas that never made it to production. ( What game was that from? ) Eh, smokeless means tasteless. ( Metal Gear, I think. ) (Yeah. The smoking smokeless cigs. ^^;) * Marguerite continues polishing her DE. The cigarette clings to her mouth as if by magic. ( Yeah, but does it stick to her upper lip? ) (naw, just the lower one.) Jesus christ, this is boring. * Yoji continues drawing. Draw, draw, draw. Boring is good. Boring means that nobody is shooting at us with intent to kill, or at least greviously injure. ( and I'm fairly sure I misspelled that. ) Yeah, but mercs are supposed to be either shooting things or sitting around, drinking bad beer, and swapping stories in a bar filled with so much smoke you have to know people by their voices. ( Were this an action movie, that'd be the cue for the shooting to start. =P ) This is worse than a desk job. ...nothing is worse than a desk job. Couldn't even imagine doing one. Doing the books for the shop was bad enough. It is, though. At least with a desk job you KNOW you're not going to get to shoot anyone. This is like the striptease of action - you're told there might be some, but nothing happens. ...that is a disturbing analogy. ( /me cracks up. ) I salute you. Roll mind +perception/hearing bonuses, people. 2d6 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Marguerite (2d6) and gets 7. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Robert (2d6) and gets 10. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoji (2d6) and gets 10. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (2d6) and gets 7. 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Togo (2d6-4) and gets 7. ( Okay, if anybody made that, I'll be very surprised. ) (Wow. We're sharp today. ) ( I just missed. -_- ) *** Demotafk has joined #ChibiRPG (Holy shit. I didn't think the analogy was THAT bad.) ( Your analogy is going to kill people. ) ( It's _that_ bad. ) ( The analogy inspired me to start a quote file. :P ) (No, you made it Togo. 7-4 is more than 6. :P) *** Demota has quit IRC (Ping timeout ) *** Demotafk is now known as Demota ( He rolled 11, though. ) ( I already applied the -4. ) ( Wha? He added in the -4 already. He rolled an 11. ) * Robert EYES Reason's sensor board. They're coming out of the walls, man. * Robert picks Reason up and turns to face the ducting. Shit, what? ... shit. Yoji, get over here! * Togo draws his guns. * Yoji drops his book and rushes over. * Marguerite spins around, dropping the cigarette and mysteriously holding Bubba. Some asshole thinks he's sneaky and is gonna come in through the ducts. * Robert tracks him carefully along the wall. * Yoji closes his eyes and concentrates. The air around him seems to ripple a little. (Forcefield) Pity we still need the building. Yeah. *** Atom has quit IRC (Quit: ) And we need to make sure it's not a friendly coming through there, too. ( Any second now, Jet Li's gonna start shooting out of the ducts at us. ^_^ ) I'd probably try cutting the duct open, but that might just tell him where I am so he can shoot me. Yep. Have to wait for him to show. * Robert searches along the wall for where the duct lets out. * Togo fiddles with his glasses... * Marguerite flicks her eyes left and right. The duct lets out right about in the middle of the hangar, about fifteen feet above the floor. Everybody hide. * Robert takes cover behind a crate, eyes barely showing. Hide? Dammit, are we going to do this THAT way? Let him get out of the grate first, we don't want him to be able to get back in. * Yoji ducks behind another crate * Togo takes cover. * Marguerite sighs and hides behind the nearest thing, fitting Bubba in beside her. * Togo waves to get everyone's attention, points to the wall, and holds up one finger. * Robert checks the sensors again. * Robert holds up one finger, too. * Yoji looks...befuddled. * Marguerite holds up her middle finger and keeps her eyes on the end of the duct. * Togo edges over to Yoji, and whispers. "One finger means one person." ...oh. * Togo holds a finger to his lips, and edges back to his original position. * Yoji nods. Suddenly, the grate knocked out of place. A lone girl jumps out of the duct, holding a pair of pistols, and shouts "Ha-HA! I've got you now!" Then she notices how horribly outgunned she is and blanches. ( Miyu? @_@ ) ( ...wha? ) ( Oh, wait, pistols. ) * Marguerite rolls out aiming Bubba. "Who's got who, girlie?" * Robert stands up, leveling Reason at the girl. * Yoji blinks in confusion. * Togo holds up his guns. "... right. Drop 'em." * Yoji slowly stands. I think you should listen to the nice man. Nice? Comparitively, Togo. * Marguerite chuckles. Point. After all, you could be firing rubber bullets. hard to take prisoners with a plasma rifle. "Uhm," says the girl, "You've got me. Sorry about, y'know, trying to thwart you?" So it is. Drop the guns, bitch, and kick them over here. Nono, do not drop the guns. Place the guns gently on the ground. Richard's grandfather walks over, chuckling. * Marguerite blinks. The girl drops the gun and they go "BLAM!". You hear the bullets riccochet off of the metal walls of the hangar, but they don't hit anyone. * Togo winces. * Yoji jumps as the gun goes off. * Robert would facepalm if his hands weren't full with Reason. Richard's grandfather says, "I hope you'be brought your own cuffs? Or at least tranqs?" Well, at least there was SOME gunfire. I've got cuffs in my coat. Lots of 'em. ...I need to get some of those. Mmm. Now I know what you do in YOUR spare time, Togo. (*snickers*) You got me. I practice breaking out of cuffs. Go through them fast. * Robert snickers. Don't lie to me! You're a rent-a-cop! * Yoji looks confused. Hey now, that's unnecessary. No insults between co-workers. The old guy nods. "Please go cuff the young lady, Togo." * Togo nods. "Down on your stomach, lady." She looks a little young to be a not-so-secret agent. She another special case? Special case? * Togo starts walking over, guns still drawn. Like Yoji or Rina. You know... special. Oh, probably. ( Geez. First thing that pops into my head with air ducts and dramatic pronouncements is original Miyu. ^_^;; ) Hell, I was in the army at her age. * Togo frowns. "Down on your stomach. Now." ( I miss the old Miyu... ) * Yoji eyes the girl. ( Give Yu some time, Togo. ) The girl gets down on her stomach, as instructed. ( Wasn't sure if it was a delay or defiance. =P ) (Yeah. I'm working two channels, here. c_c) (If it was defiance, I'd say she was defiantly standing there. ^_~) * Robert checks the sensors again, to make sure there aren't more people sneaking up while we're distracted. * Togo gets out cuffs, cuffs her hands to the opposite foot behind her back, and cuffs the cuffs to a pipe along the wall. You do this often, Togo? ...don't take chances, do you? Bounty hunter, remember? True 'nuff. Hey, you don't need cuffs if they're dead. Or vaporized, is even better. So should we question her, or wait for Fearless Leader? It's not necessary to kill her, so we're not gonna kill her. MD, search her, willya? Yeah, yeah, that's what they all say. We can question her once she's been searched. * Marguerite slips Bubba into her satchel and pulls her DE. She walks up to the girl and begins patting her down. And if you kick me, I'll pistolwhip your wisdom teeth out., The old man watches you all, still smiling. Gimme some credit. She couldn't kick the bucket the way I have her restrained. The girl remains still as she's searched. Margie finds two spare clips of .45 ammo. * Marguerite pockets them. * Togo picks up the guns, and hands them to Robert. "Anything special?" * Robert sets Reason down and starts examining the guns. * Marguerite taps the girl's jaw. "Open your mouth." The guns are ordinary .45s. The guns are nothing special. You want 'em, MD? The girl opens her mouth, looking at MArgie in confusion. Sure, put 'em on the crate./ Geez. This is almost pathetic. * Robert puts the guns down on the crate and starts tinkering with Reason, stopping every couple minutes to check the sensors. * Marguerite turns back to the girl, and lifts her tongue up, then feels each tooth in turn. ( Thorough. I like that. ) * Yoji scratches his head. "I don't get it. One person?" COuld be a diversion. Could be. If it is, they didn't take very good advantage of it. * Togo nods. "Seems to easy, yeah." Marfie finds nothing unusual about the girl's mouth. Except a cold sore, the poor dear. ...Margie, even. I'm not showing any hostiles on sensors. Unless she's a living bomb. * Togo gestures to the old guy. "How many did you guys have to deal with?" * Marguerite taps her jaw again. "Good. Now. Let's start with the basics, my dear. What's your name?" The olg guy holds up three fingers. * Togo shakes his head. "Either we were the only competant people GCI had, or something's up." The door to the hangar opens, and Dejiko walks in. ( /me waits for her to respond the way a certain other hostage did. :P ) * Robert swings around and brings Reason to bear on Dejiko. (What? Aliens! :P) Oh! Dejiko? * Togo gestures to Fearless Leader. "We had a visitor. I'd say attacker, but that'd be an insult to attackers." Oh. It's you. * Jacqueline follows Dejiko in, frowning a bit. She's kinda quiet, though. * Rina walks in behind Dejiko, stretching. She doesn't look particularly happy, either. "No shootin', please? Been having such a good day." Too late. MD ordered her to drop her guns. That was a bad idea. Phooey. The girl tries to grin menacingly. "My name is Mami Himezaki. I was the rookie member of my team, and they said I was useless! But I showed them! I found you before any of them did!" Armed only with a pair of .45s, nothing else on her but two extra clips. ( I was thinking of a certain not very bright soldier, actually. :P ) * Rina looks over at 'her'. * Marguerite swings back to the girl. * Sayuri follows Dejiko in as well, frowning a lot. She eyes the situation. ( Heh. Shinnosuke, Wai! ) Wait, what? Team? Sonofabitch. * Yoji blinks. * Robert checks sensors. "Yes, team! What, you don't think they send us out alone, do you? Ha! They'll be along sooner or later, and they shall defeat you all!" We ready to take off, Dejiko? Not if we're not here for them to find. Dejiko, how soon can we be airborne to wherever we're going? * Jacqueline grins a bit at that. And how is KITT getting wherever we're going? * Yoji eyes the girl. "Awfully dramatic, aren't you?" Dejiko says "We're leaving within the hour." The old guy looks at the girl, and asks "How many other people were on your team, Mami?" Then let's pray the team is as incompetent as the GCI's intelligence agency. * Rina giggles. Dejiko frowns in Margie's direction. GCI didn't have an intel agency. They had a bunch of people throwing darts at a wall. Enough, people. The grunts will always agree that intelligence isn't very good. * Yoji sweatdrops. They do what they can with what they have. The girl blinks. "Ano? There were three others." Stop complaining about it and take what you can get. The old man shakes his head and makes 'tsk'ing sounds. "Pity." * Yoji almost falls over. * Togo cocks his head at Robert. * Marguerite blinks, then chuckles loudly. * Yoji starts snickering. Dejiko aproaches. "This all the excitement for today, Paul?" The old man nods, and adds "'Fraid so." * Rina hums to herself, wandering over to the crate with Yoji's sketchpad on it. * Sayuri yawns. "As fun as it is to try to explain how I can find more data than the intelligence people did in 10 minutes... I feel somewhat, yanno, stationary and waiting to be shot." * Jacqueline scratches her head. * Rina picks up the pad. "This somebody's?" Calm down, Sayuri. The rest of her team got nice and dead last night. Or so I surmise. Probably. * Yoji blinks. "Ah! That's mine. Thanks!" I'd like to know why she wasn't with them. Oh, good. The girl's eyes go wide. "What?!?" * Rina tosses it over to Yoji. "Catch!" You heard her, Robert, she's the rookie. Because she decided to ditch them to "prove herself". * Yoji catches the sketchbook, and quickly closes it. I remember wanting to prove myself. * Robert shakes his head. * Marguerite turns to Mami. "Let this be a lesson to you - if you're a rookie, you can't prove anything alone except how incompetent you are." * Rina blinks at Robert. "Y'did?" Yeah. I was young once. I swear, I was. Really. * Yoji quirks a smile. "Hard to imagine." * Rina grins at that. * Jacqueline tries to imagine a younger Robert and giggles. The girl's eyes begin to water, but Dejiko walks over and uses a fancy martial arts nerve pinch to put her under. The girl begins to snore softly. Memories of summer days tracking down drug lords... those were the days. What're we gonna do with her, Dejiko? * Rina rolls her eyes. "You were always old, weren'tcha, Togo?" You might be surprised, Rina. * Sayuri walks over to somewhere less line-of-fire where she can sit, and does so. Togo was a wildman when I met him. My pop started me in the family business when I was 15. Dejiko sighs. "I suppose we can leave her here. She got herself into the airport, so she can get herself out, probably." * Rina feels her mouth drop open. "Fifteen? That's younger than me." * Yoji goes wide-eyed at Togo's statement. "...15?" Not in those cuffs, she can't. Dejiko chuckles. "Good point, Marguerite." * Togo nods. "I was more normalish back then, wasn't it?" Maybe you can just leave the key. We'll be gone by the time she wakes, right? If she goes back, she'll probably get herself killed. I'd say take her with us, but we can't afford to. ( wasn't I, even. ) * Togo eyes Rina and Yoji, and shrugs. "Gotta start sometime." * Sayuri frowns. "I'd rather someone without my description, for one, be allowed to go and talk to people. Kinda defeats the purpose, yanno?" * Rina rubs at her arms. "I'd rather not start at all," she says quietly. Eh, 15's not so young. I've been shooting since 13, which isn't bounty hunting, but whatever. * Marguerite nods at Sayuri. "She knows us now, and she certainly has a big mouth." Most RPG heroes are teenagers. A _very_ big mouth. I'm not in an RPG, Jackie. But thanks anyway. Oh, shooting? I've been shooting since I was six. Pops took training seriously. Or very early twenties, at least. Dejiko looks deep in throught for a bit. We can't even reasonably convince her to go to ground, she's got no skill for stealth. We could always shoot her. * Yoji looks at Marguerite and Sayuri. "You're not talking about KILLING her, are you?" * Marguerite nods to Togo. "Nice." Not an option, Togo. Just sayin'. Killing? Well, sure! Why not? Dejiko shakes her head. "No, I'd feel bad shooting her." * Sayuri waves her hands, looking sorta disgusted. "Not me." Cut off her tongue so she can't talk? ... ... * Yoji STARES at Togo. ... note to self. Need to work on sense of humor. Sometimes, Togo, you scare me. * Marguerite sighs. * Rina smiles slightly and shakes her head. Christ, if she comes along, then SOMEONE gets stuck with training her so she's not a liability. Fine. I'll do it. Cripes, you all tell me to lighten up, and then you stare at me like I grew a new eye on my forehead when I try... Dejiko chuckles. "Well, I'm sure Paul could handle that." Paul holds up his hands and says "Nonono. My training days are over, Dejiko." * Rina walks up to Togo and stands on her toes, peering at his forehead. "Nope. No eye there." * Marguerite eyes Robert. "I think if you tried to train her like a Marine, she'd bawl her eyes out." Maybe she would. Can we convince her it's just a bad dream or something? Or maybe I'd treat her like my daughter, and she'd turn out just fine. That never works in games... Good. It'd be hell finding glasses. * Yoji scratches his neck. "Well, you're always serious, and you still SOUND serious, what are we supposed to think?" Dejiko chuckles. "Well, we can all train her. I'll teach her to fight, one of you can teach her to shoot, and Togo can teach her to tell jokes." Eh, I say we take turns. * Robert snerks. I'll teach her to play games! * Sayuri says deadpan, "A dealy combination, I'm sure." * Rina giggles. (deadly, not dealy.) * Togo nods grimly. "She'll kill 'em with laughter when I'm done with her." I'm sure Togo's humor is against the law in at least one country. ( AgentMaker, by Gainax. Raise a young girl to become the perfect spy. :P ) ( O_O Sweet! ) ( I want it! ) (Gwuh?) Great, but while we're sitting around talking, GCI could be sending another team. Are we going to get packing or not? Dejiko says, "Oh, quite deadly. Come on, let's get her aboard the plane. We can have fun telling her about the GCI once she comes to." ( Going to sleep now. Nanight. z.x ) How's KITT getting out of the country? Dejiko says, "We're going now, in fact." and they did. "We've arranged other transportation for KITT. Don't worry, he'll be fine." ...fine. * Marguerite grabs her satchel and moves. Where we headed? * Rina gets in, taking a seat hopefully near or next to our favorite prisoner. "We're going to California. I'll explain why on the way." ( /me says as he gets in the plane. ) [END SESSION. Unless y'all wanna chat a little longer.] ( Whee, sleep! ) *** Demota is now known as DemoSleepy ( One sec. ) (Nah, let's end.) * Togo stiffens up. (Sleep would be good. Have class in the morning tomorrow. ^^) ( I'm for ending. ) ... Hayashi?
