[GAME START.] *** Sidhe has joined #chibirpg It's five o'clock. In the morning. (Hola, sidhe. Game on.) No creature in their right mind would be willingly awake thinking at this time in the morning. But Dejiko ignores that rule of thumb, going by your rooms and waking you up. (Well, Sayuri might, if she were busy enough. ^_~) 1d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (1d6) and gets 3. ...wah? (Who said she's in her right mind?) ( /me decides not to be hard on the GM by noting that Robert would be in the garage, working. ) ( I wonder if this means what I think it does. ) "Pack everything you can't live without," she says, "And meet me in the hall." I can't exactly pack KITT. But for what it's worth, everything I need is with him. It is two days after the search for Shiori took place. Or one, if you go by sunrises. * Jacqueline yawns and rolls over. "'Nuther five min-waaah!" She rolls off the top bunk, passing Rina on the way down, and lands with a thud. (KITT is taken care of. As is Margie's bike.) * Rina sits up and looks around blearily, then blinks at Jacqueline. * Yoji blinks blearily. "wa...wass goin on?" I just unpacked ;_; * Rina blinks at her again. "'S my job," she mumbles. * Marguerite sits up in bed. She looks around, and sighs. Guess no sleep tonight. * Robert dresses in his armor and packs his armament. * Rina yawns and rubs at her eyes. "So, what're we takin'?" * Sayuri yawns, and peers at a recent stack of media. "Great, more crap to carry." * Jacqueline hurriedly gets changed and looks longingly at her games. * Yoji stumbles around the room and gets dressed. He then grabs a duffle bag and starts sticking stuff in it. * Marguerite slips from between the covers, and makes a quick stop in the bathroom. "Eh, all I have is my bag. I can get some of it." * Robert steps out into the hall. * Rina gets dressed, too, and reaches under her pillow, pulling out a ragged blue notebook. She grabs a cellphone off of a nearby dresser, too. * Jacqueline looks over at Rina. * Marguerite is jumpsuited, braided, gloved, booted, and ready to go approximately one minute later. * Sayuri looks up from shoving things in her bag, a mix of her music discs and media. "Wouldja? That would be great. Take this junk, and make sure it doesn't get broken." Ne... I don't mean to be rude, but... you think you can carry my games? You're strong enough..." * Rina laughs. Sure, which ones? Um... all of them? * Yoji packs mainly his drawing materials and a few personal effects. (Dejiko is out in the hall, waiting and keeping watch.) * Jacqueline keeps packing in the meantime. * Yoji enters the hall and yawns. * Rina blinks, then shrugs and grabs the large box they came in. She tosses her notebook on the bottom, then starts dumping the systems in. * Marguerite snags the nearest stack and tucks it under her arm. "Pity I never actually used the drawers." * Jacqueline sighs. "Thanks. I owe you one." * Rina snickers. "I'll remember that." We going battle ready or concealed, boss? * Rina puts the last system in, tops them off with a mass of controllers, and looks around, then shrugs. "That's all of 'em." Reasonably battle ready. We might meet with difficulties on the way. * Jacqueline nods. "Thanks again, Rina." As you say, sir. * Sayuri chuckles, and grabs a second bag (hanging duffle), shoving some choice clothes in it, and more CDs and media. "Stupid damn thing." No problem. * Robert draws his smallest gun, the oversized autopistol, and holds it at his side. * Marguerite taps her foot. * Rina grabs a duffel bag, tosses a couple changes of clothes in, and zips it up. * Sayuri stands, wobbling slightly, and walks out in the hall, quite burdened. "Yay for too much crap at GCI. I assume you wanted me to carry the media too, Dejiko?" * Rina puts the bag over one shoulder and lifts the heavy box. "Ready?" * Yoji yawns again. * Jacqueline nods. "Ready." * Yoji blinks, runs back into his room and adds some clothes to his bag. * Marguerite follows Sayuri, and looks back at the room. "On the road again...." She closes the door with a small frown on her face. * Jacqueline gets the door for Rina. * Yoji returns to the hall, rubbing his eyes. Dejiko looks around. (Everyone there?) * Rina steps out into the hallway and blinks a few times at the others. She forgot to put her hair in the ponytail, so she looks quite a bit different. * Jacqueline follows Rina out. Here I am, on the road again... Here I am, up on the stage... * Sayuri looks just as 'freshly rumpled' as she always does. What's this about, Dejiko? (Alright. That's everyone.) *** Yu-Mei is now known as Dejiko We're leaving. Follow me. * Jacqueline casts a glance at Dejiko. * Marguerite chuckles. "Different song, Robert. But appropriate. * Robert takes up a position just to one side and behind Dejiko. Leaving? Where *yawn* to? * Rina hesitates as her mind works around things at five in the morning. "Wait, we're leaving? Just like that?" Leave me a firing lane if things get bad. * Sayuri also eyes Robert, and shakes her head. * Marguerite follows Dejiko, loosening her DE in her holster. She moves to the other side of Dejiko than Robert. Here I go, playin' the star again... * Dejiko heads off down the hallway at a jog. "Away from here, Yoji. And will do, Robert." Here I go... turn the page... * Rina sighs and runs after Dejiko. * Robert trots along beside/behind Dejiko. * Jacqueline keeps behind Rina. "I got your back. Just be very careful with that box!" * Yoji walks after Dejiko. * Rina giggles. "You're asking the eternal clutz to be careful with something!" (the lights in the hallway are dimmed, and everything seems silent, save the sound of your footsteps.) * Rina yawns. What's this about, Dejiko? Ya gonna tell us? * Sayuri walks along quickly, but obviously deliberately. And carefully. Don' worry about it, little one. * Yoji yawns loudly. "Some new mission?" * Dejiko proceeds down another hall after rounding a corner with a small amount of caution. "I'll tell you everything when we get to the plane." ... * Rina blinks sleepily at Robert. "Don't tell me what I shouldn't worry about." 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Jacqueline (2d6) and gets 6. Just general advice, Rina. Keep your blood pressure down. ...do you ever worry about anything? Sure I do. * Rina yawns again. "Sorry if I want to know what I'm goin' into." * Yoji nods. "Yeah...I dunno where we're going, and it bugs me." (You encounter nobody on the trip down the hallway. Soon you reach the waiting room. Two people are sharing a table there, enjoying coffee and microwave pastries. They glance briefly at you and then go back to minding their own buisness. Dejiko leads you though.) ( At 5am? O.o ) * Rina glances at the people. (They might be *shiver* morning people.) ( The True Evil! ) (Dejiko opens the door leading to the hangar. Inside is another hallway, woohoo.) * Marguerite hums softly. The tune she's humming sounds oddly familiar yet not. Um... Now probably isn't the best time to be humming... * Rina bites her lip as she concentrates on not stumbling and dropping the box she carries. * Dejiko proceeds down the hall. (At the end of the hallway, you can see three people. One of them is wearing shades, to it must be Togo.) ( /me eats a blue M&M for luck. ) * Marguerite shakes her head and continues humming, a small smile on her lips. ( Only Togo wears shades. ) (At five in the morning, in almost no light? :P) ( Saki does! :P ) (Dejiko keeps jogging down the hall, and slowly comes to a stop about twenty feet from them; just in vocal range, in this hall.) * Yoji squints at the people. ( It could be a member of the IFoPWWSIAK... ) * Jacqueline peeks around Rina at them. * Rina stumbles to a stop, nearly dropping the box. Wah! 'Sokay, I got it! * Jacqueline sighs as Rina recovers. * Rina breathes a sigh of relief. "Good morning, Togo." "Lovely day, isn't it?" * Togo turns... and grins. * Jacqueline whispers to Rina. "Who's that guy?" * Sayuri stops as well, stretching her neck. Why, Dejiko. Fancy meeting you here. * Rina whispers back, "'S Togo. He's one of those people who needs to learn to have fun... but he's not a bad guy at all." ( Togo? Grinning? Yeek! ) "Yes, quite. The world is just full of these little surprised, isn't it?" * Rina blinks. Then again, THEY said you'd be coming... so I should've expected it, perhaps. * Rina stares at Togo. (/me attacks the typo demon; does 27 damage.) * Yoji blinks at Togo. "...what's with him?" Tsk tsk... aren't you the one who told me that once you were in, you were in for life? I'm almost disappointed... "How tragic." But heck, let's not be cynical about this. Look on the bright side! * Rina says quietly, "Somethin's not right. *Really* not right." * Rina almost cracks up. * Togo idly twirls his guns. "I've been waiting 2 long years to wipe that arrogant smirk off your face..." * Jacqueline looks from Rina to Togo confusedly. * Yoji whispers to Rina. "I don't really know Togo...but he's acting real weird." * Marguerite slowly sets down her satchel, and Sayuri's media. She nudges the bag open with her foot. This isn't Togo. (The two men with Togo have taken this cue to drar weapons; one has an assault rifle and the other weilds an automatic shotgun.) * Togo then places the guns to the heads of the other two guards. "... but what the heck, it can wait." *GRIN* * Rina nods at Yoji and responds, "Yeah, he is. He- He's what?" (The other two guards freeze.) * Marguerite chuckles. "Bait and switch." She picks up her satchel and the media again. I got 'em covered. Someone come disarm 'em. * Robert grabs their weapons and tosses them to Maggie. * Jacqueline scratches her head. "I'm confused." * Rina shakes her head. * Marguerite catches them, and eyes the guns critically. * Yoji blinks. * Sayuri taps her foot calmly. (Perhaps... too calmly!) So what should we do with these two, o fearless leader? * Rina grins at Jacqueline. "First thing: Togo never smiles. Second thing: he never looks at the bright side of things. So something was wrong, and it looks like those guards have been had." And here I thought he'd lost his sense of humor along with his eyes. Okaaaaay... * Yoji scratches his head, too. Automatic shotgun, assault rifle. Nice models. "Keep them as seuvenirs, Marguerite. And use your imagination, Togo." * Marguerite stores them in her satchel. Souveniers my ass. If nothing else I can sell them. * Dejiko smirks. * Togo shrugs, and WHACKS them each upside the head with the butts of his pistols. (The guards drop.) So... he's on our side. yeppers. I think so. Looks like it. I guess. ... You people are wierd. * Dejiko proceeds past them. "Yes, he is. Did you see anyone else come past here, Togo?" Hey, Dejiko... * Rina giggles. "Even though I don't know what 'our side' is." "Yes?" Nope, nobody... and tell the truth. Did I get you, even for a moment there? Well, I'm on your side. You've got my games. Damn straight. Good act. * Dejiko grins but says nothing. She continues down the hallway, taking a left soon. * Togo bows slightly. I'd give you an emmy, but all I have are MRE's. Want one? * Sayuri starts walking, and mutters, "About time. Christ. As Acting as if GCI didn't have any sort of security." * Marguerite starts humming, louder now. The tune still plays on the edge of memory, but remains undiscernable. * Togo watches Dejiko pass. "No answer. Shoulda figured." * Robert follows Dejiko while he talks. * Rina singsongs, "Togo got her" as she walks after Dejiko. (-As. Stupid 'brain'.) * Yoji follows Dejiko. * Jacqueline follows Rina- er, Dejiko. * Togo puts away his guns and follows. "Nah, I'll pass." * Togo doesn't look back, but flashes a thumbs up at Rina. (Follow the games, Jackie. Follow the gaaaaaames.) Serves her right for that amusement park thing... *VERY faint grin* * Marguerite stops humming. "Geh. I should get to pop her one in the face for that." She starts humming again. * Rina glances back at Marguerite. "Only if I get to, too. ... What're you humming, anyway?" * Dejiko stops at the second door on the right, labeled "HANGAR 2". She runs her I.D. card through the scanner, which rejects it. She frowns. Um... "Marguerite, this card reader doesn't want to be our friend any more. What do you have to say to that?" ... "When Branwen gang an the rye fields", Rina. Old Celtic song. * Rina shifts the box in her arms. "Oh, okay." Well, Dejiko. I think it needs to be taught a lesson. * Robert grins evilly. * Marguerite pulls out her new automatic shotgun. Oh, this is gonna be loud. "I'd have to agree. You have an eloquent way with these things, so I'll leave it to you." Sure we don't wanna do it the quiet way? And as I've always said, nothing enforces behavior like a shot of lead. * Sayuri plugs her ears. * Robert backs off and braces himself. Well, so much for stealth. Feh. Quiet's no fun. * Yoji covers his ears, too. (I'm just glad she didn't use her c4.) it's less likely to get people killed, though. * Dejiko covers her ears. * Marguerite unloads a burst of fully automatic fire at the general vicinity of the lock for about 15 seconds. ( Lina Inverse school of tool selection? ) * Togo winces slightly, but doesn't cover his ears. 'cause he's tough and shit. Yeah, boyeee! =P (Something like that.) * Rina winces, but doesn't cover her ears, because... well, she's carrying a big box. :P *** Sidhe has left #ChibiRPG (The shotgun runs out of ammo. There is something of a pit where the card reader used to be. Dejiko reaches in and fiddles with some loose wiring, and the door opens.) (I can't hear you! I'm holding this bag of socks!) * Yoji takes his hands off his ears. I...I don't understand. * Rina makes a face. "Loooooud." I do. * Sayuri unplugs her ears. "Well, that didn't help much." And you will in a minute. Why are we doing this? * Dejiko walks in, pulls out a small, strangely-shaped pistol, and shoots four times, once at each corner of the hangar. You hear a far- off clattering.) It's nice to work with someone who knows the layout. Any other cameras, Dejiko? * Togo shrugs. "Life just got a bit shorter, and a lot more interesting." No. We just need to hope nobody's been waiting here for us. "Come on. Second plane on the right." (There are several largeish black jets in this hangar.) * Rina peeks in and walks over to the plane. * Robert runs in a low crouch toward the indicated plane. * Togo follows, guns still drawn. * Marguerite tosses the shotgun in, and pulls out the DE. * Marguerite follows, singing softly now. * Dejiko proceeds to said plane. * Sayuri continues to wobble her way over. * Jacqueline follows along. * Yoji walks along to the plane. "When Branwen gang an the rye fields, an Ciarya gang an th'moor..." ( What would Ciara be doing on the moor? ) I've heard that somewhere, I know I have. (The plane's engines are already running. There is a single, very large fellow standing at the bottom of the boarding stairs.) (Ciara happens to be a fairly ancient Celtic name.) * Rina peers at said fellow. ( Kate's a Viking? COOL! ) ( Celtic, not nordic. ) You'd have to have lived with a really old Scotsman or Irishman, Robert. That song is over 500 years old. Of course, the lyrics have been reworked... * Yoji blinks at the large person. ( Whoops... Kate's a Celt? SOMEWHAT LESS COOL, BUT STILL NIFTY! ) * Marguerite eyes the person, the beginnings of a smile crossing her lips. "Good morning, Vsaevolod. Are you coming with us?" ( Vaseline-san! ) * Rina looks up at the guy. "Huh." * Jacqueline looks at Rina. "Russian guy?" * Rina nods. "Yup. Russian guy." The man shakes his head. "No, Dejiko. Someone needs to stay behind to take care of this and that, after all. I decided to come here to turn away inquisitive types." Dejiko nods, and smiles. "Well. HAve fun taking care of... this and that. Come on, troops, into the plane." Yes sir. ...um, okay. * Robert boards. * Jacqueline patiently waits for Rina. * Togo nods, and hops into the plane. * Marguerite slips her pistol into the holster, enters the plane, and moves on into the next verse, which proves to actually be quite bawdy, involving several uses of the word "knickers". * Yoji walks onto the plane. * Sayuri walks onto the plane, and stretches her hands out. * Rina nods quickly to Vsaevolod. "Dunno what's goin' on, but thanks for helping me out of that... place, back when. 'Cause I never did say thank you." She grins at him, then moves into the plane. * Jacqueline follows the games onto the plane! The man grins back, and chuckles. * Dejiko gets onto the plane last, and closes the door, fastening it. * Rina looks for a good place to set the games. (The inside is very well-appointed. The only other person in here is Saiken, who is sound asleep.) (There are overhead storage compartments that should hold 'em, Rina.) ( /me tries to remember if he knows Saiken. ) (You do, Yoji.) (Oh.) (I don't think you get it. It's a BIG box. ^^) ( Those are some big compartments O.o ) (/me does not.) (Yoji> You do. You, Rina, and Sayuri raided that one lab with him.) ( Oh yeah. ) (Rina> Ah. Then put it in a seat and buckle it in. ^_^) * Rina looks around a bit more, then shrugs and puts it on a seat and buckles it in. ;P * Jacqueline sits down next to the box. "Thanks again, Rina! ^_^" (What model plane is this, about? Airbus-? Learjet?) * Rina laughs. No problem. You're just lucky I didn't fall over with those things. * Rina takes a seat nearby. ( It's black. :P ) * Sayuri shoves the second bag somewhere, sets down somewhere far aways from things, straps in, and pulls a big book out of her bookbag. You're not that clumsy, Rina. (Lockheed. It's a type not available to most consumers.) * Togo finds a seat and sits down, holstering his guns as he does so. Oh, that's what *you* think. (ROCK.) * Rina stuffs her bag under her seat. * Robert finally puts away his autopistol and sits down. * Yoji takes the seat next to Rina and puts his bag underneath. * Rina fishes around in the bag for a bit, then pulls out a brush and a hairtie. She starts getting all the tangles out of her hair. You have any idea what's going on? Not a clue. * Jacqueline holds on to hers. And the box, too. * Marguerite looks around appraisingly, slips into a seat by the window somewhere kind of by herself, and starts singing again. She does not remove her satchel. (The seats are arranged in sets of four, with two pairs of two seats facing each other over a table. You all hear the engine spooling up.) * Jacqueline peeks out and casts Dejiko a glance. * Dejiko has a seat. * Togo idly hums. "ooeeooeoooooo... wah wah wah..." (So I take it my seating arrangement is Jackie and box facing Rina and Yoji? :P) (Suuure. :P) * Jacqueline yawns. * Rina continues working at brushing her hair. "When's she gonna tell us already?" (You hear a voice over the intercom. Some of you recognize it as Richard. "This is your captain speaking. Heh. Always wanted to say that. Anyway, we'll be departing really really soon. I'd like you all to observe the no-smoking signs, and, more importantly, to not smoke, although once we're cruising you can help yourself to the booze.") I hope soon... Probably when we're out of here successfully. * Marguerite screams, trying to get her voice to carry to the cockpit. "FUCK YEAH!" * Dejiko speaks up. "I'll tell you all once we're safely in the air." * Sayuri looks up in Margie's direction curiously, shrugs, and gets back to reading. * Togo shakes his head, and continues humming softly. "ooeeooeeoooooo... wah wah-wah-wah wah..." * Rina blinks. "And that was Richard," she tells Jacqueline. "Looks like everyone I *know* is involved in this." (The voice comes over the intercom again. "Fasten your seatbelts, people. This magic carpet's about to take off.") * Yoji obviously doesn't recognize the voice, as he isn't up there throttling the pilot. Indeed. * Marguerite settles down, and rifles through her bag. She pauses, frowns, and looks some more. Finally she ceases to search, and looks grumpy. * Rina pauses in her brushing long enough to buckle up. * Yoji buckles up. Heh. Well, better they be friends than enemies. * Robert fastens his seat belt, reaches into his coat, and after a moment, Magic Carpet Ride begins playing. ( For those of you who'd be aware of such things, Togo's humming the theme from "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly." =P ) * Jacqueline does likewise, checking to make sure the box it secure. * Yoji blinks at the mention of Richard's name, and scowls. "Oh. Him." * Rina glances at Yoji and nods in understanding. Ah. You mentioned him before. He's that guy you wanna kill, right? Eh? Kill? ... Figuratively speaking. I'd be satisfied with just maiming him. *** Demotafk has joined #ChibiRPG Ooh. Well, he kinda got recruited Yoji without really telling him everything that was... um... involved. (The plane takes off. You feel a lot of acceleration for a little bit before it levels off.) Ah. *** Demota has left #ChibiRPG * Yoji nods, still looking rather angry. * Marguerite slips on a pair of headphones, and tries to see if there are any audio tracks to this morning's flight. * Rina grins. "But I don' wanna kill him. I knew him since before I joined the GCI, even, so... he's the oldest friend I got." She glances at Yoji and adds, "Though I might hold him down long enough for Yoji to maim." Hm. * Yoji manages to smile a little at that. * Rina sets her brush down and ties her hair back into the familiar ponytail. * Togo has stopped humming, and is now just staring out the window of the plane. Well, I don't REALLY want to do anything permanent to him. ( Togo sees undetailed clouds? :P ) ( And uncolored sky. =P ) ( How interesting. ) (Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.) * Marguerite peeks up above the seats slightly. "Hey, is there breakfast served on this fucking flight? Cause else I'm going to have to resort to my usual three-martini-four-nicotine jumpstart breakfast." ( s'better than the in-flight magazines, most likely. =P ) (After a while, Richard's voice comes again. "Alright, we're cruising. Feel free to get up and walk around. And Marguerite, the liquor cabinet's open. There's also a buncha' nukeable breakfasts in the pantry, and they can be warmed up. Just in case you guys get hungry." Mm. Ecc McGuffin, here I come. * Rina stifles a yawn. * Marguerite stands up and heads back to the gantry. * Togo unbuckled, stands, stretches, and heads for the back of the plane. * Robert unbuckles but doesn't bother getting up. * Dejiko unfastens her seatbelt and stands. "Alright. You all want me to tell you what this is about, and I'm going to do that now." * Yoji unbuckles and stands up. "I'm gonna get breakfast. Either of you guys want any?" * Rina unbuckles. "Yeah. But I think we'd better stick here for what she's gotta say." Nah. Thanks anyhow. No thanks. Yeah. *sits back down for now* * Marguerite returns with something that might have possibly been bacon once, and a double scotch. 2d6+2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (2d6+2) and gets 7. Talk to us, boss. * Togo finds a coupla seats in the back and stretches out. * Jacqueline stays buckled (so when the plane suddenly goes down and you all go flying all over the place I'll be just fine :P) Finally. (I'll cling to your face when that happens. Just so you know. ;P) *** Atom has left #ChibiRPG ( No, you'll be busy saving my games. ) (Pft. They're buckled in. ^^) Okay. It started eight years ago. I'd been in the GCI for three years, and I'd begun to notice certain discrepencies in the way they operated. * Sayuri sighs, and looks up at Dejiko's speeching. * Marguerite munches, and listens fairly intently. * Rina settles back and listens. * Yoji listens with great interest. I made the fortunate decision to look into it myself instead of asking one of my higher-ups about it. The more I dug, the more I became convinced that there was someone corrupt high up in the GCI. * Jacqueline folds her arms behind her head. Two years ago, I was caught at this by Richard's grandfather, Paul, who was one of the top brass at the GCI. He's in the copilot seat right now. * Rina nods slowly. Uhuh... He told me that he had also looked into this. Unlike me, he *knew* who it was that was corrupt. It was the GCI's very founder, Commander Renken, who was the traitor, and Paul showed me proof that the commander was on the ruling council of I13. ( ... ) ( It's James' fault! ) ( Calc's a traitor? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO@ ) ( HAH! ) ( ^_^ ) ( I refuse to believe it! ) * Marguerite sips her scotch, which is actually the first time any of you have seen her sip anything, especially alcohol. * Rina pales. "He wha?" The...the head of the GCI is an enemy? * Jacqueline frowns a bit and unbuckles her seatbelt. (*snickers*) * Yoji looks almost excited by this. Paul told me that he had been subtly laying plans to attempt an overthrow of the GCI. It was slow work, because it's hard to know who you can trust in the spy buisness. At the time, it was just Paul, me, and Kenji, who's asleep over there. * Marguerite goes white, and spits the scotch all over the seat in front of her. "The council of fucking I13?" * Rina continues paying attention, but eyes are wide and her hands are shaking ever so slightly. * Sayuri chuckles softly. * Togo continues his strenuous laying down. Eventually, I decided to take a calculated gamble. I decided that if I could get a group of mercenaries and fresh recruits with no exposure to either the GCI or I13 under my wing, I could trust them, since they would be under my mentorship, as it were. i would keep an eye on them, and I would train them until Paul decided to move against the GCI. * Jacqueline nods. Hmm. * Marguerite wipes her mouth. "Pawns, as it were." She shrugs. "And once more..." Unfortunately, someon figured out what I was up to. It was probably me letting Shiori go that clinched it, but I'll probably never know. And so we had to leave a bit earlier than hoped, because otherwise we'd have likely all been killed, and I wouldn't much care for that. ( Sure, use me as an excuse for your own screw ups :P ) (Okay. ^_^ ::uses you for an excuse for his own screwups::) * Rina stares blankly at Dejiko, her fingers digging into her chair. * Yoji sighs in relief. "I feel so much better hearing that." * Jacqueline keeps her gaze on Rina. "Glad to hear that, Yoji. * Yoji looks over at Rina. "Um. You Okay?" * Rina blinks and looks down, forcing her fingers to let go of the chair. "No." What's worse is that the I13 has apparently upped it's own schedule, too. Before we left I recieved word that several Euripean nations are being put under martial law, and I have reason to believe that Japan might find itself in such a predicament as well, soon. We're currently headed to Hong Kong, where the I13 has too little influence to pull such a maneuver, as yet. I'm pretty sure you'll have questions, so ask away. ...martial law? @_@ * Jacqueline blinks a bit. * Togo calls from the back. "So I suppose this means our deal goes down the toilet, eh Dejiko?" Dejiko... ( /me is still lying down. His feet are visible in the aisle. ) Hong Kong, huh? ( Those are fake feet! Togo's really behind the bar! ) ( I wouldn't doubt it. ) * Sayuri shrugs, and mms. "Should have wormed them. I always was a hacker first." ( Oh, yes, because Togo is such a prankster. ) I hope they remember my saving them from the Silver Plague.... wait, I destroyed 14 buildings in the process. Damn. I hope they DON'T remember." Only fourteen? Only 14, but there were only 17 terrorists. * Rina continues to look down at her hands. She takes a deep breath. Not quite, Togo. I have tracked him to America, of all places, and we'll be going there shortly after taking care of a few things in Hong Kong. Is Hong Kong safe from that disease thing? * Togo BOLTS upright. You know where Hayashi is?! I wouldn't say I did if I didn't. * Yoji blinks. "Who's that?" * Togo makes his way back to the group right quick. "And you didn't think to share this information before?" * Marguerite looks at Yoji. "Hong Kong's a domed city. We'll be safe from infection." Oh. Yes, Hong Kong is safe. And Togo, I only found out last night. * Jacqueline nods. * Togo starts to say something, but pauses. He stands straingt up, looks down, and takes several long, deep breaths. * Yoji looks at Rina with some concern. * Jacqueline sighs. "Last night wasn't long enough." *** Dicesuke has quit IRC (Ping timeout ) It wasn't. Will... will our actions in America be bringing us in contact with him? I plan on it, Togo. Dejiko... where is KITT? You said he was taken care of, please explain. * Togo nods. "I... appreciate it. Thank you." *** Dicesuke has joined #ChibiRPG * Togo stands there awkwardly for a moment before slowly turning and heading back to the back of the plane. * Marguerite leans her chair back, and tries to get some sleep. * Sayuri sighs, and goes back to looking at her book. "Another day, another random place to be that I didn't ask for." Rina...it'll be okay. We're all together, right? KITT, as well as Marguerite's motorcycle, are in the care of a friend of mine who has an air lift buisness. They'll be depositing them at our destination. Don't worry, Kitt will be there, and he'll be fine. ( Someone wanna voice Dice? ) *** Dejiko sets mode: +v Dicesuke ...good. * Rina shrugs and moves her gaze from the chair to Dejiko, staring at the woman with such intensity that she gives the impression of looking through her. * Togo flops back down into the seats in the back. "Finally..." * Jacqueline looks from Rina to Dejiko. Lemme get this straight, Dejiko. You broke me out of that lab just so I could spend more fun time with the I13? They knew where I was this whole time? * Robert blinkblinks at rina. More or less, yes. But although they run the GCI, that is where you would be safest. If you were anywhere else, they'd be trying to get you back, and you'd be facing them alone. So that's it... Great. Yeah, I feel really safe knowing that they could fucking well have waltzed into my room and took me away to- And you were using me, too! * Sayuri flips another page, and huhms. Nobody's going to take you anywhere you don't want to go, Rina. ( does Rina want to go to Hong Kong? :P ) * Sayuri mms. "Already too late for that." * Rina glares at Robert. "I don't have a choice! Don't you know that? I've never had a choice in *anything*!" ( If she doesn't want to go, she can get off the plane. ) (And die. ^^) Sure you do. There are always choices, and people that will defend your right to make them. If you hadn't signed on with me, Rina, they'd be trying to do more... *things* to you. *I* am what kept them from 'waltzing into your room'. And if *I* hadn't taken Togo and Robert and Marguerite and Asa to the lab where they changed you, they'd still be keeping tabs on you like a bug in a jar. Would that make you happy, Rina? * Yoji shoots Dejiko a look. "Hey, give her a break." * Dejiko looks about. "We should be at Hong Kong in another hour or so. I suggest you all get some food in you, and maybe catch a nap." She's right, though... * Marguerite sits up suddenly. "Fuck me bald, sideways, and into a coffin, this means I'm not getting a paycheck! Son of a fucking bitch!" * Robert resists the urge to start playing 'It's all about the benjamins.' * Rina looks from Robert to Dejiko and opens her mouth... then closes it. "No. It wouldn'tve. I..." Her eyes dart frantically, then she scrambles to her feet and runs to the bathroom. * Dejiko shakes her head at Marguerite. "Not so. I, ah, borrowed some money from the GCI before we left. And, I have a few wealthy friends who wouldn't want us to fall onto hard times." * Rina slams the door as hard as she can. Hey, Rin- Ah shoot. * Dejiko watches Rina go and sighs. ( Where's the bathroom? ) * Marguerite leans back again, relaxing. "Ah, good. Wouldn't want my steady flow to be interrupted." * Jacqueline runs a hand through her silver hair and sighs. ( Relative to where the group/I am? ) (The door slams hard, but by some miracle doesn't break. And it's at the back of the plane.) oh, and Robert? Give her a few minutes. She'll sort it out. She's a smart girl. (It's at the back of the plane, after a little hallway seperating it from the minibar.) * Yoji sighs. I know she's a smart girl, Marguerite. * Marguerite closes her eyes, puts on the headphones, and starts breathing rhythmically. * Yoji stands up and foes to get something to eat. Hey, Yoji? * Togo winces at the sound, and sighs. With a grunt, he sits up and looks back towards the bathroom. Yes? I changed my mind. You think you could get me something to eat? Anything not French will do. Maybe some ramen if they have it. * Marguerite is asleep in minutes. * Yoji smiles. "Sure." He turns and walks over to where the food is kept. 1d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Marguerite (1d6) and gets 6. * Jacqueline sighs. "At least someone's happy with the way things turned out." * Togo rubs his temples, then gets up and makes his way towards the bathroom. * Yoji returns with two breakfasts. There ya go. Thanks. * Jacqueline eats. ^.^ * Sayuri looks up at Dejiko, shakes her head, and then looks over at Togo, frowning. "Leave her alone, man. Girl's gotta think." * Togo leans on the wall next the door, facing the opposite way. "... you okay in there?" (Those of you with good hearing or close proximity can hear sobs coming from the restroom.) ( If Togo hears Sayuri, he doesn't acknowledge it. ) * Jacqueline sighs at Togo. "Y'know, there's not anything he's gonna be able to do." I wish I could help her...somehow... * Rina sniffs. "Just peachy." Togo can hear the sound of running water. There's nothing you can do right now, Yoji. Yeah, but the sad part is there's really nothing you can do right now. She needs time. * Jacqueline nods. * Yoji nods, slowly. * Sayuri sighs, and shakes her head at Togo, looking back at her book. "Fool." ...now I feel bad about being glad this happened. * Togo shakes his head. "... right. Listen... Dejiko's not exactly on top of my Christmas card list. That much should be obvious. But..." Hey, come on. It won't do for everyone to be upset. ... but, when she says she was trying to help you... I believe her, belive it or not. * Yoji smiles slightly. "I know. But still..." I think it'll work out in the end. Rina's too nice to let this keep her down for long. * Rina turns the water down a little, and there's a pause. Then a small "I know" through the door. * Sayuri sighs, and closes her eyes, rubbing the bridge of her nose. When I first came to GCI, after getting my eyes... we made a deal. I work for her, she helps me out with something. And even with... even with all the shit going down, she kept her word. * Jacqueline sighs. "Guess we're not gonna be roommates after all, though." * Rina is silent for a while. * Togo sighs. "I can't claim to know what you're goin' through, but know that I and the rest of the team'll be damned if we let anything else happen to you. Dejiko included." Is that all? * Togo steps away from the door and makes his way back to his seat. * Togo lays back down, hands behind his head. * Jacqueline finishes the meal and gets up to find a trash can. ( And thus, Togo's supply of both humor and social interaction are used up for the next 3 months. ) (Gotta do it sometime. :P) * Yoji disposes of his trash as well. * Robert waits patiently. 2d6+2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (2d6+2) and gets 8. * Rina opens the door a crack and peeks out into the main area. * Robert looks back at Rina. * Jacqueline spies Rina and waves her back to the seat. * Yoji looks. * Rina opens the door the rest of the way and steps out. Her eyes are only slightly pink, but other than that she looks fine, aside from the lack of a smile on her face. "Um... sorry if anybody was worried about me." Don't be sorry. If something's wrong, it needs to be resolved. A little worry is a small price to pay. * Yoji gets up and walks to Rina. On impulse, he hugs her. "We won't let anyone take you away, Rina." * Sayuri continues reading her book. Read readity read. * Rina blinks, then laughs softly and hugs back. "Thanks, Yoji." * Jacqueline chuckles and gives Rina a thumbs up. "Don't worry, I'll guard you with my life; after all, you rescued my games." *_* You should get something to eat now. ^_^ Mebbe, yeah. (The intercom crackles. "Uhm, your attention please, folks. We're gonna be landing soon, and this would be a fine time for someone to try and stop us. I need you all to get to your chairs, fasten your seatbelts, and close your window flaps. I'll make sure to let you know before we get into a situation, if we do.") Eep. * Rina smiles shakily at Jacqueline. "See what I mean? At least this time I didn't break anything." So much for breakfast. * Robert closes all the window flaps within reach and belts in. * Yoji rushes back to his seat. * Jacqueline grins. "I knew you wouldn't." * Rina hurries over to her seat and buckles herself in. * Yoji buckles up. * Marguerite opens her eyes. She looks surprisingly well rested, for having slept for mere minutes. * Togo reaches up, pulls down the window flap, buckles in, and resumes his laying downage. * Jacqueline buckles her seatbelt again. I'd offer an MRE, but you _really_ don't want to go into evasive air maneuvers with one in your stomach. * Marguerite buckles up, and closes the flap 3/4s. * Dejiko gets into a seat. * Jacqueline closes the window flap, not that anyone could see her with the box in the way anyhow. * Sayuri sighs again, makes sure she's buckled, and shoves the book in her bookbag. She then leans back and rests. * Rina and glances uneasily at Dejiko before closing her window flap. (I also shoot the Typo Demon. Bang.) * Marguerite sneaks a peak out of the window, then closes the window fully. * Jacqueline leans back and closes her eyes. "Hong Kong..." (Once the windows are all closed (hopefully), the plane accelerates a bit.) Hopefully this will go better than our last trip to China. ^_^;; * Jacqueline grins a bit, not opening her eyes. "You've been there?" * Rina grins. "Y'mean with the Lady of the Pointy Ears?" * Marguerite snickers. Pointy ears and phenomenal cosmic powers. ( Hey! We refer to them as Aurilly-Enhanced-Americans!" ) Yeah, her. *to Jacqueline* Yeah, we were there a little while ago. It was...unusual. Hmm... Spoon-bender or puller of rabbits out of hats, Robert? Rabits and hats. Ah. Phenomenal cosmic powers, great big pointy vulcan ears. Hope Ada's okay. She had to've gotten in trouble for helping us so much. (The intercom crackles. "Me again. Radar paints two unidentified contacts, prolly military. I don't think they know we're here yet, but I don't wanna take any chances. But if they notice us, things might get bumpy. So. Yeah.") Whozzat? Yeah...although I get the idea that 'The Lady' would probably be more amused at her helping us than anything else. Wunderbar. I HATE aerial combat. I can't shoot shit. Long story. We can tell you when we land, or something. ^_^; The plane rolls slightly ro the right, and holds that position for a bit. Just so. * Rina nods. "Well, yeah." She turns her attention to Jacqueline. "Oh, Ada was a little kid. Knew magic and all... I saw her float, and heal Togo, too." She smiles. "I gave her a piggyback ride, too." Ok... * Jacqueline opens her eyes. "Seems like something's happening out there." * Rina nods, and her eyes flick over to Dejiko. She was pretty amazing, wasn't she. Yeah. I guess she was. ( Why, I bet one day she'll grow up to be a powerful mage herself... accompanied in her travels by a strong, witty, ruggedly handsome warrior, perhaps... =P ) (You mean the skinny, shameless warrior who can't take anything seriously and has a powerful artifact that makes food pop out of nowhere.) ( Wow, I want that artifact. ) ( Hey, one outta two ain't bad. =P ) (About five minutes pass. The intercom crackles. "Alright. We're in the green folks. Coming in to land now.") (Right, right. ^_~) * Rina smiles with relief. Whew. * Sayuri opens her eyes, and smiles softly. * Robert scowls. *** Dicesuke has quit IRC (Ping timeout ) ( Off he goes on another wild adventure. go dice! ) *** Dicesuke has joined #ChibiRPG * Marguerite cracks her neck methodically, crosses her fingers, and looks heavenwards. (The plane gradually comes to a halt, and then begins moving straight down. The plane stops going down, taxis a bit, and then Richard's voice comes over the intercom. "Alright, everyone out. And, welcome to Hong Kong, where the temperature is a comfortable 74 degrees, 'cause the place is air-conditioned.) (Shall we keep going, or would y'all like to call it a night?) * Jacqueline grins. ( I can keep going. ) * Marguerite keeps her fingers crossed. * Rina giggles at that. ( Keep going. ) (Going is fine. ^^) Heh. (Up to you guys.) ( I'm good for a couple hours. ) * Sayuri (shrugs. "Whatever.") ( I'm good for another half hour or so ) * Marguerite unbuckles, stands, and collects her satchel. Thank you for flying the friendly skies. Because any skies with scotch are friendly indeed. * Rina unbuckles and grabs her back from under the chair, stuffing her brush into it. She stands, stretches, and swings it over her shoulder. "Whatever you say, Marguerite." (back -> bag) (Hurm. I have a lot planned, which is a problem here. Better keep it for next session.) * Yoji unbuckles and stands up. * Jacqueline unbuckles and stands, throwing her bag over her shoulder and trying (and failing) to pick up the box. ( Damn. ) * Togo gets up, rubbing his temples and scowling slightly. * Robert unbuckles and stands up. * Rina laughs and grabs the box, lifting it easily off the chair. Thanks Rina. * Yoji stretches. ... Now I really owe you ^_^ * Dejiko unbuckles and stands. "Alright. We're going to meet with some friends of mine, take care of a few trifles, maybe get some shopping in, and then we move on. We might spend two or three days here, at the most. Let's go, people." (So no game? ;_;) [END GAME. BUH BYE.]
