[ HERE BEGINS THE LEGENDARY GAME. ] Not Tetsuko. She's an obedient little android Dem: That's what she WANTS you to think. :P Dem, Yon> Shh! :P Game running. ( Sorry. ^_^;; ) ( I control her, Yon. ) ( Dear god. Yu has LEGENDARY VOLUME! ) ( Again, that's what she wants you to think. :P ) You are all in the GCI waiting room. Yes, all of you. No, really. ( Even Atom and Dem? ) Damn, there are this many people working here? 1d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (1d6) and gets 5. ( We are your new target practice! ) * Togo sips a bottle of water, as he leans against a wall. * Yoji looks around at the new people. * Rina hums and tightens her ponytail. * Shiori stands silently near the door, staring at her feet. You know the drill; tables, chairs, magazine racks, vending machines, yadda yadda. * Robert stands at attention in tactical armor and trenchcoat, as usual. * Marguerite checks her braid, checks her laces, checks her gloves, checks her armament.... * Theo sits casually near the door, polishing his boots. Especially the shiny buckles. * Rina tilts her head and looks at all the people. "Huh. Wonder what Dejiko's up to." * Yoji looks around for Dejiko. Yes, he has a deathwish. * Sayuri yawns and flips through a dark blue book. Jesus. That lady loves to take our time. Her. I mean her time. Really. * Rina giggles. "Yeah. 'Cept when you get called to her office." Gotta love corperate efficiency. *chug* * Yoji laughs quietly. Dejiko clears her throat from about ten feet away. Relax. She'll be here when she's here. * Robert gets a goofy grin on his face. Morning, sir. * Sayuri blinks at the book, and drops the book in her lap, hands shaking, eyes turned down. * Marguerite chuckles. "Ah, the necessity of comedy. How goes, ma'am." ( Gather the troops! Lord Vader has arrived! ) * Yoji looks up at Dejiko. * Theo stops with the polishing, tucking the rag into his jeans, and looks up. * Rina waves at Dejiko. Good morning, Cadets. ( WHAT YOU SAY !! ) * Togo cocks his head. ( The GM speaks! ) ( Good morning angels! ) * Shiori looks up as much as is necessary to have Dejiko in sight while still looking somewhat at the floor. ( HOW ARE YOU CADETS !! ) (Bleh. :P) ( Stop, Dem. NOW. =P ) * Robert salutes. "Morning, sir." (Been done.) ( Blargh. x.x ) 'Mornin. * Yoji smiles at Dejiko. "Hello." * Marguerite eyes Theo and Yoji out of the corner of her eye. * Sayuri is ignoring Dejiko. Just over gripping the sides of the chair. today, you will be going on a field mission. This will probably be one of the more interesting ones you'll experience for a while. More interesting than the attack of the killer Super Veggiejin? * Shiori listens intently. * Rina crosses her eyes slightly. "And we're *not* going on this one by accident?" * Yoji blinks and turns to look at Robert. ... if I end up in a top hat again... Heh. Sounds like you guys have had it -easy-. Coulda been worse. You could have ended up in a fuku, like Me, Asa, and Marguerite... * Marguerite growls slightly. Dejiko smirks. "Possibly. Today you'll be going after a mage." * Rina grins madly at that. She covers her mouth, but that doesn't stop the giggles from coming out. THAT was a mistake. Next time I'm going to be the fucking cat. A what? * Yoji widens his eyes. The corner of his mouth quirks a bit. A mage. Someone who uses magic. Magic? Neat! * Rina blinks once. Huh. * Sayuri manages to slowly pick the book up and slide it in her bag, just in time to shiver slightly and look up at Dejiko. Well, that'd explain what the Mag stands for in Mag/Psy. Okay. ... Better be a better mage than the ones in Libyan Georgia. Thos shamans couldn't do more than foresee where you'd left your keys last. And that with difficulty. ... Do they die if you shoot them? * Togo continues drinking water. As near as our Psi/Mag devision can tell, this individual is a low-level mage, so you ought to be able to subdue, or if necessary, terminate him with little difficulty. If he does prove a problem, I will be nearby and on hand to reinforce you. Of course, Mr. Marine. (And before anyone makes jokes, That was Dejiko saying that. So nyah. :P) * Sayuri blinks. "Mage. You're sending us up agianst a mage?" * Rina tilts her head. Is this a capture if possible, kill if needed thingie? If he's so low level, why is the whole group needed? Is he heavily guarded? So... what kinda things can someone do with magic? * Theo decides to busy himself with a magazine. Ooooh. Carrot cake recipe! * Marguerite taps Theo on the shoulder and whispers "'Scuse me. Don't believe we've met." * Shiori looks up a bit more, starts to say something, then thinks better. * Sayuri frowns, and makes various 'Whafuck?" mutterings. Dejiko nods. "That is correct, Rina. And to answer your question in a short way, Yoji, a powerful mage can do nearly anything. By our estimates, however, this mage shouldn't be capable of more than basic attack and defense, and perhaps a few parlor tricks on the side." ( Just watch. He's going to have some sort of Time Freeze, or Dragon Slave or something. ) * Theo hrms and looks up, smiling, "Nope. Don't think we have. Theo Chislon, how d'ye do?" ( Stop giving the GM ideas. ) (Shush, Atom. :P) * Rina steps over to Sayuri and murmurs, "I don't *think (*shoots the Typo Demon*) * Rina steps over to Sayuri and murmurs, "I don't *think* she'd send us against something we can't handle." * Marguerite makes a toothy grin. "Marguerite McLochlane. Most people call me Mad Dog. Call me Margie, and you'll be singing Dixie three octaves higher." * Sayuri frowns, and makes wild motions with her hands. "And what, exactly, am I supposed to be able to handle?" Dejiko gestures to Theo. "Theo is also in training, but part of his training has been studying under tutors in the Psi/Mag division." ... * Yoji looks confused. "But... what about what Togo said? Why are so many people going after a low level mage?" So how many people in this room have incredible magical and or psychic powers? * Theo mock-salutes to Dejiko at mention of his name. * Rina smiles at Theo. "Nice to meetcha." ("We're sending all of you because the GM wants it as a plot device. I mean, uh...") And... I don't know, Sayuri. You might surprise yourself, though. * Sayuri suddenly looks over at Theo like he was a snake er something. * Theo proceeds to wave to everyone like he just won something on a game show, "Greets." Um... I'm not sure about INCREDIBLE, but I'm an ESPer. A what? A psychic. ...okay. ( ESPNer. He can tell sports scores at any time. ) "We're sending all of you so that you can all get experience in this sort of thing. Also, it's better for you to all go along, just to play it safe." * Rina grins at Robert. "I'm just really strong, fast, clumsy, and mentally unstable." Her eyes twinkle. * Yoji turns and waves to Theo. "Hi!" Wonderful. So I get to stand around until we find something you can't think to death. I know all about you, little girl. ( /me gets back from having to afk ;_; ) * Yoji blinks at Marguerite. * Rina blinks, then frowns slightly, which looks quite out of place. She walks up to Robert. "You do? Funny, 'cause I don't even know your name." * Theo nods to Yoji, "So did the ESPers get as hard a time in Psi/Mag? Whoo, the things I had to do..." * Robert offers Rina his hand. "Robert Clark, former marine, current mercenary, mechanic, and gunsmith." * Yoji thinks. "Well, I haven't been here very long. They haven't really put me through any training yet." * Theo stage-whispers to Yoji, "Do -not- request additional sub- etheromatic traning. Do -not-." * Sayuri starts muttering softly, "Bit 1 is endian. Bit two is always 0. Bit three through 5 are architecture..." and she trails off. Umm, okay. * Togo puts the water aside, and just eyes the people around him. * Rina looks up at Robert and studies him for a moment. The frown fades and shakes his hand. "Rina Arai. And you already know all about me." * Theo winks. (Add a she in there. :P) Dejiko looks at her watch. "If you are all ready to go, we have a jet prepared to take you to your mission location." A jet, huh. Sparing no expense. Where are we going? Ooh, a jet. * Theo stands up, stretching. "If I must, I must." And who's mission leader? * Rina grins. "Yay, flying!" * Marguerite clasps Yoji on the shoulder. "So. Yer a Psi/Mag, huh. You probably heard me introduce myself to Theo, there. I'm heavy ordinance support." She grins. "I blow lots of shit up." Or will you be gracing us with your commanding presence, Dejiko? * Theo grins at Marguerite's comment, "I do too. Although in a more controlled manner." Aw, controlled is NO fun at all. * Yoji turns to Marguerite. "Hi. I'm Yoji Machida. And I won't call you M...er, I won't call you that if you don't want anyone to." "You'll be going to a structure in the side of a mountain in China. Mount, ah, Haialtitoud, I believe. And nobody is the official mission leader, but it would be wise to follow Theo's suggestions, since he knows a thing or two about magic." * Marguerite 's eyebrow twitches slightly. "Good idea." (smacks Yu) Oh, cool! China! (PUNMONKEY) ( All the best site names are puns. ) (^_^_v) ... Theo. Right. * Theo GRINS * Togo shrugs, and starts towards the door. China. Sounds fun. Let's go. Wonderful. Hope you brought biohazard suits - or are we on the other side of the contamination zone? * Sayuri brushes her hair back and sighs. "Maybe I can get some good sleep on the way. Somehow, I doubt it." *** Atom has quit IRC (Quit: ) * Shiori silently heads for the door. * Rina smiles sympathetically at Sayuri. "Guess it wouldn't hurt to try. We'd better get going." * Theo heads to the door as well. "China. Cool." * Yoji blinks. "Contamination?" ( Sorry about this. My roommate has people over and I'm having a hard time concentrating ;_; ) "Yes, you'll be safely away from that area. Everyone ready to go?" ( Throw things at them. ^_^ ) (Brett> Ugh. x.x) Ready. * Sayuri spares what would be a withering look for Dejiko, if, of course, Dejiko could be fazed by anything but a nuke. (Heh. ^_^) ( Earphones + music, if possible. ) Sure. * Marguerite walks for the door. Yo. I'm ready! * Yu-Mei fast-forwards, then. * Theo speaks much fast-forward gibberish ( I would if they were being obnoxious. They're just breaking my concentration, though. ) (Loading, please wait.) * Sayuri tunes out much fast forward gibberish. ( PS/Yu! ) (Laughs as Alice's Restaurant comes on WinAmp.) The interior of the plane was comfortable, the ride smooth, and in a scant two hours you're at your destination. You know this because the pilot turns on the intercom and tells you so. Peanuts. * Robert finishes an MRE. Peanuts, and no scotch. No, MRE. The plane begins descending straight down VTOL-style, and soon the doors open. * Sayuri had a Z bubble above her head. Now she doesn't. * Theo looks over at Yoji, "Were you feeding the pilot info? o_-" Stupid fragging VTOLs. (Actually, it had a well-stocked wetbar. But it only opens *after* the mission. ^_~) * Yoji stretches. * Yoji turns to Theo. "Huh? (No Scotch. Heh.) * Rina yawns. How -else- could he know all that!?! * Togo hops out of the plane, and surveys the area. * Theo nudges Yoji in the ribs, "Just yankin' your chain there. ^_-" * Shiori follows Togo out and does likewise. (::eyes Theo:: _) * Robert hops out of the plane, landing heavily. But then...you knew that! Didn't you? Oh, okay. *laughs* * Theo grins and hops out of the plane. * Yoji blinks, and follows everyone to the exit. * Sayuri frowns at Theo, and lurks out of the plane. * Togo eyes THeo. "So you know what we're supposed to be doing here?" * Marguerite strolls outside, and breathes deeply. "Aaaah. Nice, clean mountain air. You can almost taste the pathogens." * Theo announces proudly, "Nope!" * Rina steps out of the plane, manages to trip on nothing, and ends up sprawled on the ground. "Owie." The area doesn't look much like what you expected a dungeon built into the side of a mountain to look like. In fact, most of the mountain is gone, and in it's place is a vast, flat expanse of greenery that was clearly planned and carefully arranged. About a mile away is what looks like a castle. ... wonderful. * Yoji gets out of the plane and looks around. "Wow...it's so nice..." ...I thought we were going to a mountain. I'm just supposed to provide 'expert advice' on magic for you clueless masses, ya know? *grin* ( Oh my god! Mickey Mouse is behind this whole plot?! ) Instead we land in Shangri-La? * Rina pulls her face out of the grass. "Think he's that way?" She gets to her feet. Mad Dog! Robert! *waves them over* (Where are the talking rocks? <_< >_>) ( Right behind you! ) * Robert hustles over to Togo. * Marguerite walks over to Togo. "Wazzap?" * Theo strolls over, lightly stepping around rock and plant. * Sayuri chuckles to herself. "Look. It's the Property Destruction Trio. Performing one night only." If we just wander in there as an unorganized mass, this is gonna be a disaster. All three of us have experience; we gotta take charge in one form or another... get this organized. ( They left -_- ) Hm. Sounds okay. Splitting teams would likely be bad. * Togo nods. Splitting teams is never a good idea. (Says you. :P) ( Heh ) ( Never split the party! ) * Rina laughs at Sayuri's comment. (UNless you want to?) ( 's true. ) ( If the GM thinks it's a good idea, it's a BAD IDEA ) So. I'm not built for command. ( A plane flies overhead carrying a banner reading, "Say, why don't you guys split up?") As long as one of them doesn't pull a bazooka out of nowhere, I think we'll be okay. I hope. You don't have to command. Just... you know what you're doing. They don't. * Marguerite Hmms. * Sayuri stands straight up, and stretches. * Yoji continues gawking at the nice scenery. So. So we gotta get this semi-organized in one way or another. Yeah. I know the score, Togo. Do you guys normally get..you know..info packets or anything? Just let it ride, and things will fall into place. * Rina blinks at Theo. "Info packets?" I suggest we get a list of people good for point and rear. * Shiori scans for the most efficient path to the castle. If we try to force it, it'll all fall apart. * Togo nods. * Yoji turns to Theo. "Never happened before. But I've only really done this once." Yeah...info on the target, area, stuff like that? You wanna do that, Mad Dog? Likely, I'll take point control, Togo will take rear control, and Robert can guard the middle. Just what Dejiko tells us. *shrugs* Unuh. Ah... Perhaps I can scout ahead... You put me in the middle, people are gonna get shot when I open fire. I take point, or I take rear. Your choice. Togo, you mind middle? * Marguerite turns to Shiori. I'll take middle, then. Whatever. * Theo rolls his eyes. "I never planned things so sloppily before." * Rina snorts. "I wish." She blinks at Shiori. Hmm. Scouting sounds good. Take one person, and go scout. Come back quickly. I'll go scout as well. I have...certain advantages. * Sayuri shakes herself and mutters, "Too little knowledge." No. Alright, I guess.... * Rina sighs and nods, brushing grass off her jeans. No..? You stay with the main group. You're our encyclopedia, we can't afford to have you get killed. ( /me gets a mental image of Sayuri as Ruri. ) I'll go. Fire support if things get ugly. Plus I can do the sneaky thing. (YES!) s'okay with everyone? Good. * Marguerite turns back to Togo. "So. Me, Rina, and... Yoji'll take point. Sayuri, Theo, and Togo take middle. Ah... alright... And then the rest are rear guard. Sound good? Done. * Togo nods. "Get everyone else together while we're gone. Shiori'n I'll be right back." * Yoji blinks. "Point?" * Shiori waits for Togo. Sorry, Theo, but Robert's right. You are our best guide at this. ( Oops, I didn't hear that. ) * Togo unholsters his guns and affixes the silencers. "Ready, Shiori." You scouts..come here a moment then.. * Rina rubs at her cheek. "Front, Yoji." Um... okay. (Yoji - at this point, it matters not.) * Togo walks over. "Yeah?" * Shiori heads off towards the castle, swiftly and silently. I wanna try something when we get closer. Arms out, Marguerite? * Theo GRINS. ( Um, ignore that. ) They want me up at the front? But... I've never even managed to hit anything. ^_^;; ( I missed the line. ) Robert - yeah. * Shiori walks over to Theo. Good for you. Worry about it when you get closer. Talk to Mad Dog or Robert. * Togo walks away. 'C'mon, Shiori. Time to be subtle." * Rina shrugs. "I have no clue. Really." She looks around. "At least we can enjoy the scenery while we wait." * Robert gets a great big shit eatin' grin on his face as he reaches into his trenchcoat and pulls out a... gun, built along the same general lines of his normal SAW. It's bigger, and boxier, though, and has a small computer display on the top. * Shiori blinks a few times then follows Togo. * Marguerite shouts. "OKAY. Time to restore some order." * Theo shrugs and readies his pistol, looking through a few different clips, before selecting one and loading it. * Sayuri yawns and stretches. ( And awaaaaaay we go... ) Everybody hear their assignments? Margie's voice echoes noticeably. Yep. Uh, yeah. * Rina winces at the loudness of Margie's voice, but nods. "I'm in front, right?" I'm so glad I'm here. Never know when you'll need someone to hack a giant slab of stone. (So, who's going off to scout? Togo and Shiori?) ( Yup ) * Robert flips a switch on the gun and the barrels spin up, giving off a dull whine. ( *nods* ) Yah yah, whatever. Are you sure you want me up front, though? Sayuri. Dejiko is omniscient, remember? She knows all. Yoji - I want to know what you can do. If you have trouble, we can drop you back to middle. * Sayuri snorts. Um. Okay. And by the way, Sayuri. The middle is your Friend. I was joking. * Sayuri mutters angrily. "C'mon." * Rina rubs her arm and looks in the direction Togo and Shiori went. Um, Theo? What sort of stuff can you do? * Marguerite sits down next to Rina. "So. Howya doing, kid?" ( A description of Theo would be good too. =P ) (Gimme a sec. Need to figure out... okay.) * Theo hehs. "That's a secret." A secret? ...right. * Theo sits down to wait, his bright hawaiian-print shirt standing out a bit in the Chinese wilderness, jeans tucked securly into his biker- style leather boots. (Y'all talk amongst yourselves while the scouts scout. :P) Yeah, and my name is Lina Inverse. Spill it, kid. * Rina blinks once, then glares at Theo. "We can't really afford secrets, if we're all relying on each other an-" She bites off that last word and sighs. * Yoji nods. Calm your hormones, Robert. You people are an awfully serious bunch, aren't ya? * Robert starts punching buttons on the gun's keypad, and the display flashes. It's stupid not to tell. That's all. If we aren't serious, we're dead. Only when I have to be. There's a time for joking. It's called after the mission. Yeah, well, Theo, when it's not a sim, and lives are on the line, things tend to get serious. * Rina smiles at that. "Only when there's a meet. I miss swimming." So, even if you're not comfortable telling us everything, at least give a general realm of expertise. * Theo grumbles a bit, pushing a stray lock of hair out of his eyes, "Fine, fine." He mutters something ...you pick out Psi/Mag, then sighs, "I can do a few attacks. And have a few spells for support if things get hairy." Ah. * Marguerite hms. Before I studied magic, I had...other skills I used. Which I shan't speak of. Everyone has pasts, Theo. Generally, we let them lie. * Marguerite looks off to the horizon for a second. * Rina sits down and starts running her fingers through the grass. She blinks once. Hey, Marguerite? You worked with Robert before, right? Yeah. He;s on the combat team. Ah. Um... he said he knows all about me. How is that? * Yoji looks over at Rina and Marguerite. * Rina picks out a blade of grass and eyes it. "My memory's not that great, but I don't think I've talked to him before." Well, um. "A few missions back.... we did a raid on a ...." She pauses. * Yoji sits down cross-legged on the grass. "... on a lab. A cybernetics lab." * Marguerite looks at the ground. * Rina looks over at Margie. A cybernetics lab? Yeah. One ... underneath a school. * Yoji looks up, surprised. "A... a school?" (Say, one of you guys has a phone, right?) * Rina stiffens at this. "A school? So... um. Which school?" ( Theo has a cell phone ) * Sayuri (has lots of random stuff.) (Alright.) Yep. Dirty bastards were performing sick twisted shit with kids. ( Not unless KITT came with us. ) I .. don't remember the name, Rina. * Yoji turns a bit pale. * Rina nods and looks down. "It's okay." She tangles her fingers in the grass some more. "I don't mind you knowing, y'know. I was gonna tell you myself, but that works okay, too." I'd have to check my journal. But I do remember planting C4 around the fusion reactor, driving a few miles away, then feeling the thump as the place went critical. * Theo nudges Yoji, "Not gonna get sick on us are ya?" * Marguerite hestitatingly puts her hand on Rina's shoulder. "Like I said. We _all_ have pasts." * Sayuri chuckles to herself. "Brute strength is so brutey." * Rina grins at this, and her eyes light up. "Blew it up *really* good?" * Yoji smiles. "At least it's gone, then. And Sayuri took out the computer system, too, so there's nothing to worry about!" Oh, hell yeah. Likely registered at least a 5 on the richter scale. * Yoji looks over at Theo. "Not sick. Just... hearing about stuff like that..." * Yoji shudders. * Robert finishes up his pre-use tests and props the gun on his leg. * Rina puts a finger to her chin and smiles at Marguerite. "Thanks." Ah.. Obviously you haven't done much research into alchemy, especially in the Dark Ages. Uh, no. Remind me to tell you some time. It's actually quite an interesting study. And I *think* there's nothing left to worry about. I hope. But some things... Some of those alchemists were -very- creative. I don't think I want to know. * Robert comes over to Rina and Margie. * Theo shrugs. "Your loss." * Rina considers, then shrugs. "Long as nobody tries to cut into me again, I don't care." * Marguerite looks up at Robert. "Hm?" Relax, kid. Ain't nobody gonna be doing stuff like that anymore. You do know many medicines were found as well, though? Take aspirin, for instance. ...that's alchemical? * Marguerite stands, then wanders over by a tree, muttering to herself. Alchemists fiddling with a certain tree bark found that it deadened pain. That, today refined, is where we get aspirin. * Rina grins at Robert. "I hope not. Thanks." Not quite the whole 'lead to gold' schtick, but useful nonetheless. * Robert punches a button on the gun and swings it back and forth, watching the screen intently. No problem, kid. Do me a favor? Hrm? Run a quick circle around me. Maybe ten feet away. Um. Sure. ... * Rina stands. "How fast?" * Theo shrugs and leans back, looking up into the sky. Well, still... there's lots of creepy stuff. I mean, if there's been so many other ESPers like me, what kind of experiments have been done on them? * Yoji shivers. As fast as you like. * Theo nods to Yoji, "Yeah, I guess I can see your point. Magi usually were on the other end of the pointy stick." * Rina blinks once at Robert, then shrugs and walks ten feet away. Ready? But... now I'm just getting morbid. And that's no good. Ready. * Robert watches the screen intently. Nope. That just calls the bad energies to you. * Rina nods and runs a circle around Robert, just a bit faster than the average person would. * Marguerite calls out from the tree she's climbed. "Hey, Yoji. 'There be mahr thinges beyond yer ken thanna innae.' My father's quote." Don't worry about it. Hmmmm... Thanks. Welcome. Looks like it's calibrated properly... * Yoji smiles. "Yeah, I guess it's best not too." * Sayuri attempts to run her "Margie-to-people" translator. * Yoji brightens. "Thanks!" * Rina giggles. "Some kinda radar?" Sorta. Closer to x-ray, though. * Theo chuckles, and repeats the same phrase in Gaelic. "The old wisdom is always closer to the truth." X-Ray? What'd you need me to run a circle for, then? It's like x-ray, but it's not. * Rina tilts her head. It's an active sensor suite. It'll detect pretty much anything, and isn't stopped by anything short of a couple inches of lead. Ooh. Neat! I just tuned it to pick up on living beings, and was making sure that it registered motion properly. But... it wouldn't detect anything that was magical, though... Yeah, well, I don't know how magic works, kid. Wanna test it then, Robert? * Yoji hangs his head. "Sorry." Test it? * Theo stands up, stretching out. It's not built to detect magic. Frankly, I've got no idea how to do that. * Yoji looks up and eyes Theo. Ah. Oh well. Sayuri's cel phone rings. * Theo shrugs and sits back down. * Rina walks back to her original spot and plops on the ground. * Sayuri blinks, and digs through her bag to retrieve it. When she manages to do that, she whips it out. "Yo." * Rina blinks and looks over at Sayuri. * Yoji takes a deep breah of the fresh air, sighs happily, then flops back down on the ground. "Togo here. Can you tell mad dog and Robert to get everyone up here?" "No traps or guards that we can see, but there might be something magic that we can't detect." * Sayuri mms. "I suppose. Any 'here' in specific, or just wander in the general direction?" "Walk along the path. We'll be at the far end of a lightly forested area." Right. * Sayuri shuts the phone. "No sharp pointy things. Time to walk down the path." She waves her hand accordingly. * Rina stands and stretches. "'Kay." Let's get moving, people. * Yoji gets up. * Marguerite hops out of the tree, and approaches, softly singing in gaelic. OKAY. Okay. * Theo stands back up and gets in the middle. Whee Remember. Yoji, Rina, with me. Sayuri, Theo, middle. Rest of ye, end. * Robert waits for people to form up, and takes a position at the rear, facing backwards. * Yoji walks over to where Marguerite is. * Marguerite whips Bubba, her huge plasma rifle, out of her blue satchel, where it should never have fit in a million years. * Sayuri gets to walking. Sigh. * Yoji 's eyes widen at Bubba. Troops, march! * Marguerite starts stepping. * Rina moves over to the front and walks. :P * Yoji gets moving. * Theo draws his pistol, doing a few trick whirls and spins with the weapon before reholstering it. "Ready." * Theo walks along with everyone else. In the middle. * Robert follows along in back, sweeping Reason along behind, waiting for trouble. * Yoji glances around warily. You meet up with the others without incident, hooray. They're standing about fifty yards away from the castle, waiting under some of the shade trees that line the path leading up to it. How's it look, Togo? Too good. The castle isn't very large, is made of stone that is either freshly hewn or incredibly well-maintained, and has no windows. It is surrounded by well-kept gardens. No guards, no windows, no nothing. A wall and a door. That can't be good. There are no signs of guards, cameras, watchdogs, anything. Doors are cool. ( /me gets a feeling of deja vu... ) Huh. Maybe there's just nothing there. Ah.... There's some writing on the door, but... I can't tell what language it's in. Likely using some form of magic. (Ditto, Yoji.) Theo! The doors are tall, but not very wide. They have something written on them in a language that none of you can figure out. ( Heh. You too, Yon and Ard? ) Could be magic traps, I suppose, but I don't know squat about that. (Ooh yes. :P) Theo, would you .... scan this place, if that's what you call it? ( At least we don't have a crazy power suited girl to keep out of trouble, this time. ) ( I guessed it instant he said "castle" ) * Theo rolls his eyes. "Scanning away." (*snerk* Tell me about it.) ( Heh. ) ( Yeah. Less egoists in this group :P ) ( Yeah... ) ( I miss this campaign. x.x ) * Theo moves a little closer, looking like he's concentrating very intently, also looking at the writings near the door. ( /me gives Dem a Miyu plushie. ) * Rina fidgets. ( Whee. x.x ) * Yoji stares at the castle. This language.. It.. ( Blegh. I hope there'll be more spots soon. -_- ) * Theo frowns. ( It's YIDDISH! ) Hm. can't read it? I don't know what it is, really. And I know a -lot- of languages. ( It's dwarven, obviously. ) ( Speak 'Friend' and enter? ) Hm. Anyone tried to open the door yet? ( 'zactly. ) * Shiori nods. "I thought, um... Thought it might be some sort of, ah... runic script." Want me to? Naw, let a mere mortal try it first. Who knows what it does. * Shiori shakes her head. "We thought there might be a trap." Nope. Waited for y'all to make sure we weren't gonna trigger a rain of fire or something. * Marguerite reaches out, and tentatively grasps the handle. ( We're 50 feet away. =P ) * Rina sticks her tongue out at Marguerite. * Robert spins up Reason, filling the air with a high pitched whine. ( She has really long arms. :P ) (fine. Stick "I walk there first." in.) ( Elasticity level 2? =P ) * Shiori steals from Robert. Now he has no Reason. :P ( Er... That was ooc :P ) * Togo waves everyone foward to follow Mad Dog The handle does not explode, or electricute Margie. No, Togo, stay back! * Togo stops, then. Or,.... I guess it's okay. It also does not grow sharp spines and impale her. ( Does it try to eat her? ) (Waits for it.....) Doesn't do that, either. In fact, it kind of just sits there. * Marguerite gives it a yank./ * Togo shrugs. "Everyone move out, I guess. Stay in formation, and watch yourselves." The door budges, opening a bit. * Yoji follows Marguerite, putting his shield up while he does so. Hm. ... * Rina moves forward. "It's not causing unspeakable pain or anything, right?" * Sayuri stretches and walks. Rina, you can have your go, now. Ah..hmm. * Robert advances slowly, sweeping Reason back and forth to cover more area. * Theo frowns. * Shiori advances. You might want to be careful. *turns* Hmm? I don't think it'll shock me or anything, since nothing happened to Marguerite. I get the feeling that this entire place is...ah...unsound. ...unsound? Like it's gonna fall apart? Magic is holding the place together. It goes away... ( It could collapse at any minute! :P ) * Theo lets his voice trail off. * Shiori blinks... Define 'unsound'. ( Nah. Castles don't collapse unless you kill the big boss at the end, waiting for someone to kill them ) * Rina considers that. "Okay." She puts her hand to the door handle. "Pulling when ready." "Um... Is a low level mage capable of that?" Go for it, Rina. * Rina grins and pulls. Something of this size? Doubtfully. There's like...magic all over, though. * Togo hrms. "So... you're saying that, if the mage dies, this all comes tumbling down?" Does that mean... Dejiko was wrong? Well, I can't tell -that- specifically. If she was, she was. Nothing we can do. Could be someone else's magic. * Sayuri (screams, "NOOOOOOOOOO! OUR WORLD IS SHATTERED!") Except get a move on. * Togo chuckles bitterly. "Gotta love GCI intelligence." There's no such thing as military intelligence. * Shiori cracks a smile at that. It would take me like....decades to do something like this. ( AFK for a second ) And that's a conservative estimate. The Door swings open as Rina pulls it, groaning melodramatically. Well, no need for us to worry about how long it would take to do it. * Togo nods at Mad Dog. All that matters is how long it takes us to pull it down. * Rina checks her hands and smiles brightly. "Well, I'm not dead!" Okay. Good job, Rina. Inside, people. Point first. * Rina heads in. But... We should be careful. * Theo follows along, middlish. I'm ALWAYS careful, Shiori. * Togo leads the middle group in. "We will be." * Sayuri walks. Isn't it amazing? * Robert sweeps along behind, keeping the rear clear. (Yes. Very.) * Shiori follows the others. Wow. I'm assuming you all follow each other. :P * Togo draws his guns again, and surveys the area... So, you enter the castle of DOOM! ( Nah. Then we wouldn't get anywhere :P ) Well, maybe. Aheh. (Wai, DOOM! ) ( AAH! Where're the Cyberdemons? ) (Right there!) ( Dude, cyberdemons suck. ) ( I just hope we don't run into any of those fricking spider things. ) ( back ) ( Not when you lack the coordination to circle-strafe. =P ) * Yoji follows in. Anyway. Inside is a square room roughly ten feet on each side. The right side is lined with coatracks. It is well lit and feels air- conditioned, although there aren't any vents you can see. ( What's it lit by? ) ( Woo! 10x10 room! ) * Rina blinks at the coatracks. "He get guests often?" ... homey. ( /me looks for Orcs and treasure ) ( At least it's not a maze of twisty passages, all alike... ) You also can't tell where the light is coming from. (*twitch*) ..Cool. I know that trick. * Yoji looks around the room in confusion. (Yoji is attacked by a beholder!) ( Any doors or anything? ) (*cough* Ahem.) Hmmm. * Sayuri frowns. "You're supposed to kill him, right?" Kill if necessary, capture if possible. * Rina nods at that. There is another door on the opposite side of the room from the enterance. It is a single door, tall and narrow. Right. * Sayuri shrugs. "Then just call him out." * Shiori looks like she was about to say something, but was beaten to it. * Theo looks to see if there are any coats on the racks. Doors were made to go thr..... damn. I hate it when people think faster than I do. * Rina grins at that. "Y'know, you have a point. Wonder if he has a doorbell." No coats on the racks. There is one black cloak, however. * Theo looks over his shoulder, "Oh, I could get his attention if that's what you want." So do we wanna do this subtle, or just go for the ol' full frontal? Awww. I don't get to scream? I want his ass in front of me. It's what, 8 to 1? Stealth is great when you can do it. * Shiori frowns. 'Sides, he probably already knows we're here. True. If we wanted to take that route though, you shoulda told me before I started up Reason. Full frontal it is, then. * Yoji looks a bit nervous. "But... if this place takes so much to maintain, couldn't we be outgunned?" * Robert motions slightly with the gun, which is still emitting a high pitched whine. Eh. We could. * Rina blinks at that. But if we're going to be outgunned, then we're in better shape fighting now than after we go through a hellish maze of traps and spells, right? Session Time: Wed Oct 31 00:00:00 2001 * Sayuri waves her hand. "It's not like one way or the other is going to matter much to me. I'm worthless either way." ...point. * Rina coughs. "We can phone home and just let them know this is more than expected, right?" So. Theo, if you would, do your "hailing frequency" thing or whatever you Psi/Mags call it. * Yoji laughs nervously. * Theo nods.. "Could someone open that other door for me please?" We should probably get into a more open area first... this is *not* where we wanna be when the shit hits the fan Outside? Next room, perhaps. Either that or through the door * Marguerite opens the door. (What lies on the other side?) (MAGICK AND DEAHT AND TEH DESTRUXIONZORZ!) (L33T M4G1CK HAX0RZ!) ( WAH! ) * Theo takes his place in the middle and waits for the group to head into the next room. Inside is a nice, plain but tasteful room with two doors on either side of it, and an open doorway at the back. ... open? (As in, just a doorway with no door.) (ah.) * Togo waves everyone in, motioning for relative quiet. Well..you all ready? Sure. * Shiori enters the room without making a sound. *whisper* Which way? * Rina walks in and glances around. ... * Theo stands, facing the open doorway, and begins to mumble under his breath. * Yoji peers past Marguerite into the next room. If you guys wanted stealth, why didn't you tell me? In the next room is a hallway leading off to the left and right. Not stealth. Just not loud. * Robert rolls his eyes and looks down at the whining Reason. ... too loud. * Sayuri stretches, and walks over to the cloak on the coatrack, and taps it. * Robert braces Reason against his hip and punches a short sequence of keys. Reason goes silent, even though it is obviously still running. * Sayuri (having not followed anyone.) Stealth really doesn't matter so much, considering that we're trying to draw him HERE. * Theo mutters, "They want attention..." and continues his chant, growing a little louder.. The cloak does no explode when Sayuri taps it. * Rina looks around again and counts on her fingers. * Yoji follows the group. Point. We should probably spread out, then... * Rina double checks to spot Shiori. * Robert checks his scanner, looking for anything moving about that he doesn't already know about. * Marguerite waits patiently with Bubba. (A slight wind picks up around Theo as he brings his hands to frame the doorway.) * Rina peeks back the way they came. "Hey, Sayuri," she hisses. "You gonna stay in there?" * Sayuri shrugs and picks up the cloak, stuffing it in her backpack if she can. She can. Why bother coming? Theo's about to bring the house down, or whatever. *fanfare* Sayuri has gained; a lump of cloth! Not if we don't kill him. I think. * Theo chants a few last syllables, pushing towards the doorway. A flash of light leaves his hands, shooting through the doorway and bouncing down the hall, sounding for anything like a bottle rocket going off. It thumps with a deadened explosion somwhere down the hall. Acrid smoke drifts in its wake. (If you temper that into a book, I will beat you untill you bleed orange.) Well. That was... loud. * Rina fidgets. "I just don't like you being over there by your-" She jumps. There. That should get his attention, as asked. ...wah. Well. Suppose we wait, then. * Togo shakes his head. "Odd..." * Sayuri spins. "Wow... that was... loud." You hear an exclamation of some sort from the second room on the right. * Rina nods woozily. "No kidding." See? Get ready... * Yoji snaps his head to the right. * Rina turns in that direction. * Robert swings around. * Theo readies his pistol. * Marguerite calmly strides in front of everyone to face the door. ( Back. ) The door opens, and a man steps out. He is very tall; probably seven or more feet in height. He has a narrow frame, however, and doesn't seem to be very heavily built at all. He is wearing loose black robes, and his hair comes down to his shoulders in black curls. * Marguerite warms up Bubba. He whines softly in an exponential manner. * Yoji closes his eyes, and a spherical distortion seems to extend from him. Hi. * Rina smiles cheerily and waves. You're today's contestant on "Let's go visit GCI headquarters!" * Yoji opens his eyes again. So don't twitch, please. Or, rather, give me a reason to make you a pate. Please. The man speaks, looking scornfully at the lot of you, and a mishmash of syllables escapes his lips. None of you understand what he is saying. Please? * Yoji blinks. ... Yay! * Theo blinks and ducks behind something sturdy-looking. * Robert opens fire. Now is the fighty time, blood blood blood.... ... crap. Take 'em dwn! * Marguerite blasts Bubba. * Rina looks up at the man. "Um. Right." ( +o ) * Sayuri has this thing about being in the 'other room'. It's not near 'the man'. Roll initiative, you mooks. :P 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Marguerite (2d6) and gets 7. d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Togo (d6+8) and gets 9. d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rina (d6+6) and gets 10. d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Robert (d6+7) and gets 9. d6+8 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Shiori (d6+8) and gets 14. d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoji (d6+6) and gets 10. 2d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Marguerite (2d6+6) and gets 10. 2d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (2d6+5) and gets 11. The order of combat... wow, this is long. Uhm. ( Uh, Cham? MLink? Wrong roll. ) d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Theo (d6+6) and gets 12. d6=6 A 6=6 sided die, how very clever, you son of a bot. d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Marguerite (d6+6) and gets 9. (SCREW ARGH) d6+5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (d6+5) and gets 8. (I no thinky.) Order: Man, Shiori, Rina, Yoji, MArguerite, Robert, Togo, and Sayuri. ( Theo right after Shiori. ) Oh, right. Order: Man, Shiori, Theo, Rina, Yoji, MArguerite, Robert, Togo, and Sayuri. ( Fast SOB... ) (No, he got a lucky roll.) ( I got my maximum. So yeah, he's pretty fast :P ) (::blink:: Dammit, I rolled 2d6 too. ^^; Hold on.) ( /me facefaults ) (*facepalm*) (Doh) (Wow. Everybody's doing it! It's a fad! We're trendsetters!) (That's not a good thing!) Order: Shiori, Theo, Man, Rina, Yoji, MArguerite, Robert, Togo, and Sayuri. Go, Shiori. * Shiori holds her pistol at ready, waiting for the man to make the first move (holding action). *** Demota has quit IRC (Ping timeout ) Go, Theo. *** Demota has joined #ChibiRPG * Theo peeks around his cover, waiting to see what happens (holding). (You missed nothing, so don't ask.) The man makes a few motions with his right hand, and the air in front of him shimmers. With his left hand he makes a twirling motion, and a staff appears in it. He speaks, and this time you all understand him; each of you hear him speaking in whatever your native language is, although his lips look out of synch with his words. "What is the meaning of this?" Rina's turn. ( He's badly dubbed! Ahhh! ) * Theo calls out from his hiding place, "That would be magic, people." * Rina opens her mouth, then closes it. She blinks. "Um, we just wanted to... I mean, we were wondering what you were doing here." No shit, Sherlock. (Is that all, Rina-chan? :P) (Yes. ^_^_v) The man looks angry. "You dare barge into my house just to see what I'm doing?" Ho, Yoji. * Rina smiles sheepishly as she rubs the back of her head. "Sounds pretty stupid, doesn't it?" she murmurs to herself. * Yoji gulps and takes a couple steps backward. "Well..." ( Well, how else are we gonna find out? :P ) (Well, yeah. ;P) (That's all. ) Yoji wastes his turn! Marguerite! Look. We were told to pick you up, or kill you. So you have some choices. You can come with us, or we can kill you. I'm fine either way - long hair makes me gag. * Shiori frowns. She has long hair ;_; * Rina bites her lip. (On men. Curly Fabio hair. Ew.) ...Marguerite spends her time talking things over reasonably instead of fighting? Is she ill, or something? (No, no. ) (We are all ill. Where's the Tylenol?) ( That wasn't exactly reasonable :P ) Bubba seems to morph into the Desert Eagle. Maggie shoots the biznitch with some rubber bullets! (still loaded from last mission) (c.c;) Roll, then. Unless you're kidding. :P 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Marguerite (2d6-4) and gets 5. (She isn't.) The rubber bullets bounce off of nothing, and the air in front of the man shimmers some more. He seems to be confused by the apparent assault. Fuck me.... shit.; * Rina stares. "Aww, come on!" ... hell. The man seems disgusted by Marguerite's request. ( You should've expected that :P ) (The characters, or the players? :P) Go, Robert. ( The players. Possibly the characters. ) (Not Maggie. God forbid something not die when she shoot it.) (Even with rubber bullets?) (Well, at least fall over.) (Oh. Okay then. ^_^) (You there, Robert? ^^;) ( Umm, people? Can we not take 10 minutes a person? ^_^;; ) ( I'm here. ) (Seriously. c.c;) * Robert already declared his action, and opens fire, letting Reason speak for itself. (It's your turn, Robbie. ^^) (Some of us might not have class, but we DO have things to do.) 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Robert (2d6-3) and gets 6. ( Try putting brackets around important things. It helps catch the eye. ^^; ) ( It got lost in all the OOC talk. ) ( I don't see it anywhere. ) (Still with the waiting!) The air in front of the man shimmers as bullets impact against an unseen shield. More bullets miss him entirely, tearing up the wal to either side of him. Go, Togo. * Togo frowns. "Listen, our orders are to take you in dead or alive. Frankly, we'd prefer alive. But if you're gonna make it hard..." *fires guns* 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Togo (2d6-3) and gets 5. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Togo (2d6-3) and gets 2. One of the bullets is stopped by the Unseen Shimmering Shield(tm), but the other goes right through the man's right shoulder. He looks astonished and yelps in pain. Like I said. Easy or hard. Your choice. Go, Sayuri. * Sayuri is BEHIND! THE! WALL! That took effort. *phew* Good for her. Go, Shiori. * Shiori continues to wait for the man to do something. (holding action) *sigh* Go, Theo. ( What? That was fast :P ) * Theo sighs, and pops his clip, loading another one, while calling out, "We really don't want to fight with you, sir. Why not be nice and come along with us. We've sandwiches and brandy." (What? Why wasn't _I_ offered brandy?) (I want cookies. ;_;) (Make with the going?) * Theo takes aim and fires, a soft *pfft* as a dart shoots from his pistol. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Theo (2d6-3) and gets 2. ( The hell is that? Guns do _not_ go *pfft* ) (Silencer, maybe.) (dartguns go pfft.) (Dart guns aren't exactly BANG BANG weapons.) The man takes the dart on his left arm, and quickly brushes is off. His eyelids begin to droop a bit afterwards, tho. * Theo curses softly, and mutters something about dosages. He looks from one of you to another, and eventually his gaze settles on Robert. He makes a gesture in Roberts direction, and something black and ugly crackles through the air towards him. Gah! Roll ranged defense, naturally. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Robert (2d6-3) and gets 3. ( By 2. ) Robert manages to get out of the way in time, and the thing smacks into the wall behind him, exploding. ... crap. Holy shit. The man waves his hand again, and the air in front of him shimmers once more. (And me without my notebook. Damn.) ...wow. * Shiori frowns, realizing she couldn't react in time to stop the man from casting the spell, and instead aims for his staff. 2d6+2 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Shiori (2d6+2) and gets 9. Shiori misses. Go, Rina. * Rina stares at the wall, then turns to the man. She rushes forward, kicking at him. 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rina (2d6-4) and gets 3. Rina's kick smacks into the invisible shield, which grows bright at the impact, but apparently holds. Go, yoji. * Rina pouts. "Jerk. Play fair!" * Yoji snaps his hands up and points them towards the man. A ripple seems to pass through the air from him. sd6 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoji (2d6) and gets 5. (Made it. ) Yoji's nifty lil' attack slams into the shield, which grows bright and then vanishes. Go, Margie. Right. Enough of THIS. * Marguerite quickdraws Bubba again, takes marginal aim, and unleashes a glob of plasma the size of a volleyball. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Marguerite (2d6-3) and gets 3. SUCK LIBERATED IONS, you MAGELING! .... c.c; @_@ The man tries to get out of the way, but fails, and the Glob O Plasma slams into his right side, knocking him back into the wall. He begins gradually sliding down the wall, and drops his staff, gasping for breath. Fucking bastard. You don't MESS with me like that. * Rina uncovers her ears. Is it over? * Marguerite kicks his staff away. ...wow. He pulls out a small card from within his robe, and stares at it intently. His lips mouve soundlessly for a bit. Yeah. No kidding. (60 dmg weapons ownz your FACE.) ( He's trumping out! ) ( Lemme take my shot, please? ) (Yoji> Close. ^_~) * Theo remains behind SturdyCover (tm). ( Damned Amberites. :P ) * Sayuri peeks out from the other room. ( Alright. Going sleepy now. z.z ) * Rina tilts her head and walks up to the man. "What's he doin'?" A woman appears siddenly next to him. She is tall, but short compared to the man. She has bronze skin, golden hair, and purple eyes. She is clad entirely in black, and has a large sword strapped to her back. She gazes at you all with slight amusement in her eyes. Ho, damn. * Rina blinks up at the woman. * Shiori blinks. ( I was wondering how long it would take for her to show up. :P ) Hi? It's the Magey's day parade. * Yoji blinks as well. She looks at the man, and she speaks in the same language he used earlier. The man's face bunches up in a sneer. * Togo raises his guns. "Don't move. Don't blink." * Sayuri guhs. * Yoji stares at this new person. The woman looks at Togo. "Oh? And what will you do if I move?" She blinks deliberately. *** Demota has quit IRC (Quit: ) Fuck. Togo, cool your jets. She's not joking... ( He'll sing. Be ware :P ) Same thing we did to him, lady... we have a job to do. Don't get in our way. As an afterthought, the woman waves her hand dismissively in the direction of the man, whose wounds dissapear. He passes out. * Theo peeks out, "I can do that. Sorta." The woman grins. "Oh, really. What is you job, and why did it bring you hear to assault poor helpless Baltham, hm?" * Rina stares at the man. (Well, he wasn't quite as much of an idiot as he was last time. :P) * Yoji suddenly holds his head. We were told a low-level mage lived here. We're supposed to bring him in. Period. ...gah. Y-Yoji? * Rina snaps her head up and looks to Yoji. "You okay?" Y..yeah. What's going on, kid? She's...I can't read her thoughts. * Marguerite frowns. * Yoji rubs his temples. Since I assume... Baltham, you said... is said mage... "Well, you were told correctly. But I'm afraid you won't be going anywhere with my pupil." She turns to look at Yoji. "And as for you, I suggest you refrain from trying to enter my mind." W-What? * Sayuri moves into the room with everyone else, and looks at the woman. Ooookay. Reaching freak point whack, here. S...sorry. * Yoji is pale and obviously shaken. Theo. Tell me something useful here. Aside from don't mess with the lady? * Shiori whispers to Yoji. "You n-never said you c-could do... that." * Togo holds up his guns. "Yes, aside from that." The woman grins malevolently. "So, are you going to leave, or will you try to cart me away, as well?" * Marguerite stashes Bubba. * Sayuri suddenly freezes, blinks, and shivers, staring at the woman. "Hand... dark... eyes...." Okay. I'd suggest we stand down. She's not exactly afraid of us. * Yoji whispers back. "Sorry. Forgot to mention it." * Theo stands up, "Ma'am, this man is your student you said?" I doubt we could do crap to hurt her. And from how she just whacked Yoji around, she can probably have us all incapacitated in a matter of moments. * Rina looks from Yoji to Sayuri, then steps in front of them and looks silently up at the woman. ... "Yes, he is. He is a new initiate into my tutelage." The woman looks down at Rina with an amused expression on her face. No reason for holding her at gunpoint with guns that won't do shit. Screw this. * Sayuri starts breathing heavily, staring at the woman very intently. "Dark... ness.." * Yoji glances at Sayuri. "And what about you, little one? Will you try to harm me?" I'm certain that if he could come with us, peacefully, he will come to no harm.. I'm not sure why we were instructed to come here, but we do have our orders.. We have to follow orders. * Togo backs off. "Half our people are bugging out, Dejiko didn't tell us shit, we're walking blind here. Let's bail." * Rina takes a deep breath, but doesn't move. "Maybe." She looks up at the woman (and that's way up). "Don't do anything to them." She then turns to Theo. "Oh, but you're not going anywhere. Least of all with Baltham." The doors to the entryway shut and change, becoming a solid wall. * Togo spins with his guns. "Goddammit..." You can ditch if you want, Togo. Half our units aren't fit to trav.... well. * Sayuri starts to grit her teeth, but is still shaking and breathing heavily. ... That solves THAT problem. ... * Rina lets her eyes dart to the new wall, then goes back to staring at the woman. . o O ( The books never said anything about -anything- like this.. ) "I'm sure we can reach an agreement, miss...?" * Marguerite eyes Sayuri. * Yoji shakes his head to clear it, then peers at the woman. The lady raises an eyebrow. "'Miss'?" * Theo curses in half a dozen languages. >.<; Okay, okay, okay. EVERYBODY HOLD ON A MINUTE. This is getting WAY out of hand. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (2d6) and gets 8. Theo, hold on a minute. Robert, see what's Sayuri's problem. * Robert steps over to Sayuri. * Marguerite wheels to face the lady. "Okay. Starters. Who ARE you?" Oi. * Robert touches Sayuri's shoulder. * Togo edges over to Yoji. "You okay, kid?" I'm alright. Head just hurts, is all. * Sayuri falls over, and backs the hell away from Robert, scrambling towards the far wall. Far from the Lady, that is. The woman smiles, baring perfect white teeth. "This is who I am." She waves her hand and you all feel terrible agony. Soon, you all loose balance, and as you fall blackness reaches in around your vision and embraces you. [END SESSION.]
