GAME START. NO, REALLY. HONEST. I MEAN IT. Ooh, lag spike. ...C'MON, STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT. (Meep.) ( Well, considering which girls... ) ( /me fears. ) * Sayuri (cackles.) It's morning again. (No, I don't know where I actually left off last time.) You are once again enjoying a calorie-rich brekfast served by the old lady, Beatrice, when there is an authoritative knock at the door. ( Umm... What happened last time? I forgot everything ^^; ) -chicago.il.us.sandwich.net:@#ChibiRPGLite- Yu-Mei invited Dicesuke into channel #ChibiRPGLite. *** Dicesuke has joined #ChibiRPGLite ( Eeek! It's the devil's servant! ) * Rina tears at her hair. Daisuke *still* hasn't returned my ping. (I forgot everything too. That's part of why I'm doing what I'm doing in this game.) (Shall we wait for Ard-chan?) ( K ) (It'll be cute. And I *think* it's working. Maybe. Someone say something.) (I just got a ping for four minutes. (Sumething.) ( Hiiii! ) (Yay!) (Yon, re-send me Yoji's sheet, please.) (Resuming. o/~) 1d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (1d6) and gets 1. (Yay.) (No dreams this time? >.>) (Lucky you. ^_~) * Sayuri looks at the door suspiciously. "Ya think it's another random person trying to steal her home?" (Something like that, yes.) * Rina munches breakfast. "Wouldn't doubt it. Want to ignore it and hope it goes away?" The knock comes again. Ah... I don't think it's going to go away... * Sayuri sighs, and puts her utensils down as she stands. "Probably." * Rina groans and puts her fork down, grabbing a napkin and wiping her mouth. "Okay, I'll get it." * Rina stands up and runs to the door, nearly falling on her face on the way. She opens it. (Not her face. The door! The door!) ( Ewwww ) * Sayuri chuckles to herself, walking towards the door too. "Too damn awake." Yeah, you got plenty of sleep last night, didn't you? * Shiori looks around uncertainly before standing as well. * Rina grins at Sayuri. Plenty's never enough. (So, who IS it?) Dejiko is standing on the other side of the door. She's affected the dress of the locals. "Good morning, Rina." * Rina blinks. "Hey, Dejiko! Um." She smooths her clothes and double checks to make sure all the food's gone from her face. * Sayuri makes a distasteful face. "What are you here for?" * Yu-Mei sees this and almost smiles, but doesn't. "I need to have a talk with you three. Outside. Now." ( How'd he get there? ) (You may wanna change your /nick if you do that, Robin. ;P) (Bleh.) *** Yu-Mei is now known as Dejiko * Dejiko sees this and almost smiles, but doesn't. "I need to have a talk with you three. Outside. Now." (There. Happy? ;P) * Rina looks back towards breakfast and sighs. "Okay. But I don't see what the problem is with in here." She steps outside. (Ecstatic.) * Shiori follows outside, trying not to attract Dejiko's attention. * Sayuri mutters and walks outside, and turns to Dejiko. "So, having fun watching us bumble around?" Yes, actually. But that isn't what brought me here. * Rina coughs. Something has come up, and it takes a vast margin of precedence over your training at this particular moment. You are all needed. The simulation will be paused, or, if you prefer, ended. * Rina looks at Dejiko strangely. "Needs *us*?" I will open the exit from the simulation in a few seconds, and you are all to go to your rooms, get cleaned up, and then report to my office. Tell the guards that I sent for you and they'll let you in. Yes, need *you*. * Sayuri 's eyes light up slightly, but she comments sarcastically. "Something? To do? You've got to be kidding. Why would GCI operatives DO anything?" Because we'd get bored otherwise, Sayuri. * Rina fights the urge to wince. "Yeah, okay." Bored? Nah. * Sayuri waves her hand at the wide open Maine landscape. "How could this be boring... anyway." * Rina snickers. "You just want constant internet connection again." Ah... I think it's peaceful... A door opens a few feet behind Dejiko. She stands to one side, and points to the door. "Get going, you three." * Sayuri blinks, feels her back and runs back in the house. "Dammitall." * Dejiko smirks. "Right. You might want to bring your things, too." (Mind if I flash forward? :P) * Rina watches Sayuri go. "I guess that'd be a problem if I had any things," she muses. (If you like. ^_^) ( Go right ahead. ) (Go for it.) By freak coincidence, you all reach Dejiko's office at roughly the same time. (Wow, what're the chances of that?) * Sayuri brushes her hand through her hair and mutters, "D'be nice to get a real shower someday..." (Well, considering Rina and Shiori share a room, and Sayuri's prolly roughly in the same area, and none of them likely want to be there alone...) ( Heh ) * Rina nods and tightens her ponytail. "Yeah. Maybe after this?" she asks hopefully. There are three chairs against the wall outside the office. One of them is occupied by someone. (Say hello, Yoji.) * Shiori checks her equipment. ( Not Someone! :P ) * Rina eyes the door. * Sayuri scans her eyes over the Someone. "Maybe, Rina." * Yoji looks up. Uh, hi. Dejiko opens the door shortly. "Please come in, Rina. The rest of you wait here for a bit." * Rina blinks. * Rina glances over at the other girls, then at Yoji. Her eyes widen in recognition, but she squelches it and nods to Dejiko. * Rina steps into the Office of Despai- er, Dejiko's office. * Sayuri looks down at Yoji. "So, what are you in for?" Dejiko closes the door behind Rina. * Yoji blinks at Rina and starts to say something... but she walks into the office first. Well, I got recruited a little while ago, and they finally want me to do something, I guess. I'm not really sure. ^_^;; * Sayuri nods sceptically. "Uh-huh." * Yoji shrugs. * Shiori stares at the floor. * Sayuri taps her foot. "Well, it's amazing that she wants us to do something besides slum around in a sim for days." * Yoji is short and somewhat slightly built. His pale blond hair is short in the back, but hangs in front of his green eyes. He's dressed simply in a T-shirt and khaki pants. Anyway, I'm Yoji. Pleased to meet you! * Shiori looks up. "Ah... There was that mission with Tokyo Tower..." * Sayuri brushes her hand through her black hair again, and looks at Yoji with grey eyes. She's about 5'6", and 110 lb, japanese, wearing a simple black t-shirt and jeans. "Livewire." * Shiori glances at Yoji with emerald eyes for just an instant before blushing and staring at the floor again. She's about Sayuri's height, wearing a trenchcoat over a dark T-shirt and trousers. "Ah... I'm Shiori... P-Pleased to m-meet you." * Sayuri taps her foot some more. "You'd think we'd have heard the screaming by now." * Yoji blinks. "Screaming?" Why screaming? * Sayuri shakes her head. "Just a joke about Dejiko and her methods, straight arrow." Oh. Guess you haven't been here long, then. Nope. Not really. I met that girl who just went in there before, and a guy named Richard, but this is the first time I've met Dejiko... * Sayuri yawns. "Well, you're in for a treat, I'm sure." * Yoji looks nervous. "That bad?" Depends. She's implied that the only reason she doesn't hit us with her sword is because we'd die, if I remember right. That was a couple days of sim ago, though... * Shiori nods. * Yoji gulps. That... does sound bad. Eh, don't worry. I mean, she probably won't kill you on your first day, right? ... Maybe it's not too late to run. @_@ Mebbe. * Sayuri yawns. "Kee-rist. What are they doing in there?" * Shiori frowns and checks her equipment again. * Shiori pulls out a book and starts reading. * Sayuri stretches. "So, Yoji, what's YOUR little edge?" * Yoji yawns. Edge? Oh, right. Psychokinesis. * Sayuri blinks, and looks quite shocked. "Psychokinesis?" * Yoji looks around the hallway for something suitable to use for a demonstration. * Yoji finds a pencil in his pocket, and levitates it about six inches above his hand. Like that. * Shiori looks up from her book and stares, intrigued. * Sayuri just stares a bit, and shakes her head. "Craaaazy. Next thing you know we'll have some kinda ancient wizard hanging around. We've already got cyborgs, guns, hacking, and mind junk." * Yoji puts the pencil away. "What about you guys? What do you do?" * Sayuri grins slightly. "I hack computers. And I'm damn good at it." * Shiori stares at the floor. "Ah... I don't... really have any talent..." Huh? You must have something...don't you? Isn't thay why we're all here? * Sayuri stares at the door. "She's just shy." Oh. That's okay. * Yoji smiles at Shiori. "You don't need to tell me if you don't feel like it." Eh? Ah... S-Sorry... I j-just... I don't think I'm wrong. Everyone else, ah, has some amazing talent... I can't really do anything..." The door wrenches open suddenly, part of the lower hinge coming apart with a loud snap. * Yoji blinks. * Sayuri flinches, and whistles. * Shiori blinks. * Rina stumbles out into the hallway, tripping over the chair and landing on her knees. She wipes tears off her face and scrambles to her feet. R-Rina? Are...are you okay? * Rina runs forward, almost falling into the wall, and whirls around, blue eyes wide. "I- I-" What happened in there? * Shiori glances towards the door before turning her gaze back to Rina. "W-What happened? * Sayuri glances at Rina, then frowns and looks into the room. "Our turn, Dejiko?" Dejiko appears in the doorway, standing silently. * Rina sobs. "Th- they're inside me. It's not fair. I do- it's not!" Inside...you? What do you mean? * Rina screams and kicks the wall. "I don't WANT anybody in me ever again, damnit! EVER!" The wall shudders at the impact. * Sayuri looks back at Rina, and whistles, shaking her head. * Yoji turns to look questioningly at Dejiko. * Dejiko notices Yoji's glance, looks at him, and shakes her head. (A tumbleweed drifts by in the silent breeze.) ( No kidding :P ) * Yoji turns back to Rina. "What's wrong? What's inside you? I don't understand." (BRB) * Shiori stares at Rina with a worried/confused look. * Rina turns to look at Yoji, then leans against the wall, sliding down it. "Th- they. They..." * Sayuri mutters, loudly, as sarcastically as she can manage, "So. Was this just a Rina fun session, or are we all invited in?" ... (*waits for Yu o/~* (*also kicks the Typo Demon*) ( Good grief :P ) (Yeah. :P But we sorta need Dejiko here to screw things up / smooth things over / stand there and stare.) ( *snicker* ) (Back. :P) * Rina winces and looks down. "I'm sorry. I was told... not to talk about it." I understand... I think. Eh? * Rina stares at the floor for a moment, then directly into Dejiko's eyes. "But I don't give a shit anymore." * Rina continues in an eerily detached tone, especially for her, as she looks at Dejiko. "I'm a cyborg. A robot, or something. I was taken into some... place, after I was electrictued, and people did things to change me." * Shiori looks at Dejiko, then back. I don't know how long they kept me. I don't even know when I woke up. I just did. It was all white. There were no clocks or anything. * Sayuri frowns at Rina, muttering softly, "... involuntarily?... insane..." My family thinks I'm dead. Or at least that's what I've been told. I was brought to the GCI for protection. And therapy. I'll probably have to go back to therapy now. What a horrible thing to do... * Dejiko slowly approaches Rina. "Yeah, it is, isn't it?" A small smile quirks at the corner of her mouth. "Life's ju-" Her eyes widen. * Rina scrambles to her feet. "Stay away from me." * Yoji looks from Rina to Dejiko. He opens his mouth to say something, then shuts it again. I... I can't believe they would... * Sayuri frowns, yawns, waving her hand in the air. * Yoji looks at the floor. * Rina lets her eyes dart to Shiori. "People would. They do it all the time. Remember rapists? Like that, but with more technology." * Yoji looks at Rina and mutters "...so that's why..." But... The GCI...? * Rina takes a few more deep breaths. "But I'm okay. Really. Just because they have something in me that tracks exactly where I am at every moment an-" She clutches her arms and lets out a stiffled sob. (Roll Mind, Rina.) 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rina (2d6) and gets 5. Rina falls asleep. * Yoji looks up and blinks. "What happened?" * Shiori gasps and looks at Dejiko. "What... what just happened to her?" Did someone... turn her off? * Sayuri yawns. "Got me. Must have just been tired." I sure as hell know I am. After a shock like that... *Shrug* * Shiori shakes her head. * Dejiko leans down and lifts Rina by her arms. "Would one of you be so kind as to give up your seat, please?" * Shiori isn't sitting :P (Neither am I. ^^;) * Yoji was sitting, but isn't anymore. Just slump her over here, er sumpthin'. * Dejiko sits her in the middle chair. "All three of you, into the office." Uh, okay. * Sayuri sighs and walks in. * Shiori enters silently, but for once not staring at the floor. * Yoji enters the office, after one last nervous glance at Rina. Dejiko enters after you and tries to close her door, which won't close all the way due to the freshly busted hinge. She sighs, and slumps into the chair at her desk. There are three other chairs in the office; there'd be four, but one of them seems to have met an untimely demise. "Sit." * Sayuri slumps into a chair also. * Yoji takes a seat. * Shiori hesitates for a minute before sitting. ( /me patiently waits for Dejiko to finish typing. ^_^ ) (Har har har. :P) * Dejiko looks you all over. She begins to say something, stops, and starts again. "You are all about to go on a mission. Your objectives in this mission will be to infiltrate an enemy base, access their computers, and dispense with certain telemetry procedures. You will have a senior opperative with you, as well as the benefit of a distraction." ... Already? Just... Just like that? * Sayuri yawns and huhms. "Okaaay. 'certain telemetry procedures' as in...?" "Yes, already. I have my reasons for sending the lot of you on this one. I will add that, if you do not succeed in this mission, Rina will suddenly die one day, along with everyone else who happens to be standing within twenty feet of her. Let me make that clear; you're doing this for her. And so am I." Good enough reason for me. Who's coming with us? I suppose I'm in. You need someone to do something besides smash the computer. "You will be sent along with agent Kenji Saiken. He is one of our most capable agents. I will be providing the distraction." ( Wai! Saiken! ) (Saiken! Whoo!) (*chuckles*) ( Mr. X! ^_^ ) (You see a fish swimming against the school. He's probably not mister X, as he is not wearing a badge.) (God, but I loved that session. ^_^) (*ahem* Anyway.) "If there are no more questions, you are dismissed. Report immediately to the ready room. Except for you, Sayuri; I need to discuss something with you before you go." * Sayuri blinks... and sighs. "Alright." Ah... I have a question... If that's alright... "Alright. Ask." * Shiori thinks for a minute of how to phrase the question, then gestures towards the door. "Who... ah... Who's responsible for...um, augmenting Rina?" ( The Iluminati 13! ) ( I rather thought as much, but Shiori wouldn't know that :P ) "A group called the 'I 13'. Yes, that is a pretty stupid name, and no, I don't know what the 'I' stands for, either." ( Fortunately, there's only 13 of them... :P ) * Shiori nods. "Anything else?" N-No... * Sayuri taps her fingers on the chair. What are we going to be up against? "Human soldiers, for the most part. It is believed that the diversion will draw all of their bots to a remote part of the facility where you won't run across them. Okay... "Anything else?" I guess I'm ready... Ah... Me too... I think. "Alright then. Go." * Shiori stands and heads out of the office. * Yoji gets up and exits the room. * Sayuri sighs, and glances at the door wistfully. Dejiko stands, and manages to close the door behind the two of you. * Rina falls foward off her chair and onto the floor with a slight *clang*, if you know what to listen for. Session Time: Wed Oct 17 00:00:00 2001 * Shiori tries to put her back in the chair. (Ouch. x.x) * Yoji moves to assist Shiori, but backs off. * Rina looks up at Shiori. "Um, thanks. I can stand up by myself." Ah... You're awake. Are you okay? * Rina nods. "Of course. What'd I do-" Her eyes widen. "Oh." * Rina looks from Shiori to Yoji and slumps into the chair. "Dejiko... put me to sleep, didn't she?" Dejiko did that? She can do that? Ah... I think she probably did... but I didn't see how... * Rina rubs at her forehead. I didn't, either. I... * Shiori glances at Yoji. "Um... Would that psychokenesis, uh, be able to do that?" Do what? Um, Put people to sleep. * Rina sighs as she studies her hands. "Sorry about... what happened. You must all be scared of me now. And... I should probably leave, so nobody find out where we are, right?" Um... psychokinesis is just for moving stuff, really... maybe with some kind of mind control you could knock someone out... * Shiori shakes her head. "That... That's not true..." You don't scare us. Right? * Rina jerks her head up to look at Yoji. "I don't? But I could- I could-" She shudders. B-But... Doesn't make sense. I don't even know your name. *blinks* Oh, that's right. I only talked to Richard that time. I'm Yoji. Rina, you're... You're the only one here I th-think I can trust. Please don't go anywhere. And anyway, we're going on this mission so that people won't be able to make you do things you don't want. So don't worry about it! ^_ ^ * Shiori nods. "We'll find s-some way to help you." * Rina draws her legs up, hugging them with her heels on the edge of the chair. "But they could get me any time, an-" She blinks. "Oh yeah, that." I was a little... shocked when I heard about the tracking thing in me. So I wasn't paying too much attention to the mission. You're coming with us, right? * Rina blinks. On the mission. It's not going to... they're not going to operate on me if we succeed, right? Probably won't need to, I think. I'm not sure. Were they planning on removing the tracking thing like that? The door to the office opens again. * Rina looks up at the ceiling lights. "I think so. I just got so scared... I don't know, really." * Sayuri runs out of the door, looking very nervous. * Rina looks over at Sayuri and seems to shrink into her chair. ( Note to self, never go into Dejiko's office alone :P ) (Crying, nervous... oh, let's see what happens to YOU! *yank*) (Mwahaha.) * Sayuri looks around nervously. "C'mon, we've got a mission, right?" Yeah. ( Me? I'd probably come out positive :P ) * Rina blinks once, then seems to relax a bit. She stands. Sayuri? Are you okay? Did something happen? * Sayuri yawns, and runs her hands through her hair... it seems to sooth her a bit. "Okay.... yeah, I'm OK. C'mon, I've got telemetrics to blow away." Dejiko walks out. "The best of luck to all of you," she says, before walking briskly down the hallway. ...wonder what her 'distraction' will be... * Rina glares at Dejiko, then looks over at Sayuri. She tilts her head and takes a few steps towards her. * Sayuri says overloudly, "Probably a tacnuke." She looks at Rina quizically. "Mmm?" I wanna say, before we go... I'm sorry. I don't want to scare anybody. And if you want me to leave, I will. * Sayuri blinks, and laughs. "Leave? You're probably the only thing that'll keep us alive, Rina! C'mon, let's go take care of some demons." * Rina smiles slightly. "Demons, right." She considers this, then outright grins. "Revenge'll be nice." Exactly! Allright! Let's go! * Shiori nods. (Fast forward to the ready rooooom!) (To the ready room!) (TOOOOOOOOH!) (Does a Batman-style scene transition) ( *little GCI logo goes spinning out of the background and back again* ) (...get out of my head, Yon.) (Holy transitions, Batman!) ( ^_^_V ) In the ready room sits a lone man sipping a martini. He is tallish, Japanese, handsome, and wears an expensive-looking suit. He looks up as you enter and smiles. *** Dejiko is now known as Saiken * Rina waves with a small smile as she enters. * Shiori blushes and stares at the floor. Hi. * Sayuri yawns yet again. "So you're Saiken, eh?" * Saiken stands and approaches you all. "Hello! You must be Dejiko's cadets." * Rina stiffens a bit at that, but nods. "Yeah, we are." Alright. Have you already been told what you'll be doing on this mission? Sort of. * Sayuri waves her hand. "Breakin blah blah destroy telemetry data blah blah. Vague on the specifics." Not with a whole lot of detail, yeah. * Saiken nods. "Alright. I'll explain more on the way, then. Let's go." (Another scene transition. You're all in a Black Helicoptor(tm) heading towards your destination.) * Sayuri is leaning back in her seat, very much almost falling asleep. ( Ah... good old Black Helicopter(tm)...) * Saiken looks out the window. "Alright, we're almost there. Everyone listen up, please." * Rina looks out the window. "Never flew before. We're so high up." She turns her attention to Saiken. * Yoji is looking out a window with some astonishment, having never been on a helicopter. * Yoji looks back from the window. * Shiori was, as usual, staring at the floor before Saiken spoke up. Listening. The seats in the helicoptor swivel, and so you are all able to turn your seats to face Saiken, who produces a paper map. * Sayuri yawns and stretches, muttering, "Why the hell am I so tired?" Beats me. You *did* get lots of sleep last night. Maybe you're just not used to it? "All right. This is a map of the facility we'll be raiding." * Rina looks down at the map. ( She's a narcolept? :P ) (Hopefully she has better mapreading skills than I do. :P) (Har!) * Yoji eyes the map. * Shiori inspects the map, trying to commit it to memory. * Sayuri attempts to read the map. "I've been not sleeping for years. Maybe I got too much." The map looks like a trio of hexagons linked by tunnels. He points to the far right one. "In about five minutes, Dejiko will enter here and begin hurting people and blowing things up. This is actually where their barracks are, so more than half their troops should be in this area anyway. She'll conveniently allow one of them to activate an alarm panel, which will cause all the bots in the facility to head to her position." * Rina blinks. * Sayuri whistles. "Not that our fearless leader isn't up to it... but isn't that a bit insane?" She's going in there by herself? Can she really handle all that on her own? ( /me idly wonders how many CP Dejiko is built on. ) "That should make things a bit easier for us, since we'll be entering over here," he points to the far left hexagonal section. "We'll be arriving five minutes after the party starts, so it should be pretty empty. And don't worry, Dejiko can take care of herself." ( She just has 6 levels of Dynamic Sorcery focused on "Whatever I want" :P ) * Rina nods slowly. "Okay." What's in that middle section? * Shiori nods, eyes not leaving the map. "Once we're inside, we'll be proceeding to that section's biotech lab, which is located here," he points to another part of the hex, near the center. "Once we're there, we'll let Sayuri have some fun with the computers. If we see anything else that seems helpful, we might muck around witht hat, too." "Any more questions?" Am I flying blind on how to break the system again? "Pretty much, yeah. These people tend to be pretty full of themselves, tho, which tends to make their computer security kind of half-assed." * Rina considers. "I didn't think of this before, but..." If there's a... tracking thingy in me, wouldn't that make it a bad idea for me to come along? Uh... They'll probably be too busy... with the distraction... to watch you. * Saiken nods. "Normally, yeah. That's why we're staging such a spectacular distraction. Heck, they might even think it's you attacking them at first." * Rina nods. "I guess that works. And if it doesn't-" She shrugs and leans back. The rest of us are just here to protect Sayuri-san, right? * Sayuri mock swoons. "All these people to protect me. Haw." -_-;; * Saiken looks at his watch. "Alright, almost there. And yeah, pretty much. Without her, this mission'll flop, and that'll make us all sad. Alright, everone get ready." * Rina sticks her tongue out at Sayuri. "It's 'cause we love you so much." I'm not...particularly good at protecting people, though... * Sayuri chuckles. "I feel honored, Rina. Really, I do." * Saiken waves his hand dismissively. "Don't worry, you'll do fine." The helicoptor begins descending. "Okay. On your toes, kiddies." * Shiori stands up. * Sayuri digs around in her backpack, and pulls out a taser. "I've never used it before, but I'm sure it's stun-tastic." * Rina smiles at Sayuri and stands. "I've had one once. Nearly shocked myself." ( Bah. You hit me with it earlier :P ) Can't imagine why, what with my incredible grace and all. * Sayuri laughs. "Babe, I'm the Livewire. Electricity's what I am." * Rina snickers. Okay, 'Livewire'. The helicoptor touches down. Saiken opens the door and holds it for you all, bowing graciously. Livewire, huh. * Shiori steps out and glances at the surroundings. * Yoji exits. * Rina smiles at Saiken as she steps out. "Thanks." You're on top of an apartment building. * Sayuri steps out as well. "It's all about the Livewire." Where do we get to the installation from here? * Rina blinks a couple times. "Okay, this isn't what I expected." Yeah. Saiken exits after you, shuts the door behind him. The helicoptor takes off again, and you notice for the first time that it's almost silent. * Yoji looks around. * Shiori tries to apply the surroundings to the map. Saiken walks over to the fire escape ladder. "This way." He begins descending. * Yoji follows Saiken, since he seems to know what he's doing. * Shiori waits for the others before following at the end. * Rina shrugs and starts climbing down the ladder. * Sayuri does too, as she sticks the taser in a pouch for easy access. Once at the bottom, Saiken pulls out a key and unlocks a maintenance hatch. He gestures for you all to climb in. * Rina peers in and does so. * Sayuri does so too. Whee! ^^; * Shiori waits before following at the end, as expected. * Yoji climbs through, since Shiori seems to prefer to be the rearguard. Saiken climbs down after you all, shutting the plate behind him. He walks around you all and sets off, gesturing for you to follow. * Rina shrugs and follows. "This must be the enterance, huh," she murmurs. * Sayuri follows. "Sticks would be proud." The hallways you are in is well lit, and has simple metal sides. The floor and cieling are concrete. Up ahead is a door. * Shiori waits for Yoji. "Ah... After you..." * Rina looks at Sayuri from the corner of her eye. "Sticks?" * Yoji follows. Saiken stops at the door and puts his ear to it. He gestures for you all to be quiet. * Sayuri chuckles softly. "Old frie--" * Rina covers her mouth with one hand. Saiken walks back to you. He says, in a whisper, "Alright. I'm going to open the door here soon. On the other side are two guards, one to either side of the door. When the door opens, I want you two," he points to Rina and Yoji "to go after the guy on the left, and I'll take the one on the right. Sayuri and Shiori, you two stick behind. Got it?" * Shiori nods. * Sayuri shrugs, then nods. Alright. * Rina nods. Saiken walks back to the door and begins playing with the lock. After a bit he looks back, and gestures for Rina and Yoji to approach. * Yoji moves towards the door. * Rina nervously walks up to stand on the left side. * Saiken counts down with his left hand. On 'one', he kicks the door open. Rina, Yoji, roll initiative. ^_^ d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoji (d6+6) and gets 10. d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rina (d6+6) and gets 10. (...) (*smiles innocently*) Order; [Saiken, Rina, Yoji, Guard1, Guard2.] ( ^_^_v ) Saiken runs through the door and gives the guard on the right a few good, solid kicks to the face. The guard slumps. Go, Rina! * Rina runs forward and takes a swing at the man. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rina (2d6-3) and gets 3. (And that is the guard she was supposed to be attacking, not Saiken's. >.>) Rina smacks the guard but good. He reels and lands against the wall, but isn't down for the count just yet. He fumbles at the machine gun slung over his shoulder. Yoji, Go! * Yoji thrusts an arm towards the guard, palm out. 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoji (2d6) and gets 7. * Yoji sweatdrops as he puts a huge dent in the wall. Yoji's attempt at fisticuffs yeilds poor results, which is very unfortunate considering how close this leaves him to the guard, who decides to forgo the machinegun in favor of clocking Yoji in the face. (Roll unarmed defense, Yoji.) (Er... that was a psychokinetic blast. Sorry. (Ah. Okay. But still. :P) 2d6-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Yoji (2d6-1) and gets 4. (Success) Yoji just barely manages to get out of the way of the guard's clumbsy haymaker. Guard 2 is napping. Saiken apparently decides that you two can take care of the guy on your own. Go, Rina. ^_^ * Rina attempts to smack the guard upside the head. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rina (2d6-3) and gets 5. Rina does indeed smack the guard upside the head. The guard falls over and doesn't get back up. "Good job. Everyone come this way, now." * Rina smirks down at him and seems to consider something, then decides against it. She looks over at Saiken and nods. * Yoji turns back to Saiken. *muttering* "...need to work on my aim." * Sayuri chuckles and follows. * Rina shakes her head and goes thataway. "You'll get better." * Shiori follows as well. Saiken sets off down the hallway at a walk. * Yoji follows Saiken. (o/~ Rollin' rollin' rollin' o/~) * Rina glances around. "Such a fun place. I hope we get to this computer thing soon. Don't much like them being able to know where I am." You round three corners, Saiken cautiously peeking around them before proceeding. He occasionally offers up tips on how to go about this or that. Soon you are at a door with a plaque proclaiming that this is the "B.E. LAB". * Rina peers at the plaque. B.E.? Is this it? Ya got me. Not on my list of TLAs. "Prolly Bio somethingorother. But yeah, this is it." * Rina frowns. "Bio... bio." She takes a step back. "Bio engineering?" Could be... I'd guess that... but bioengineering doens't involve metal. Usually. Mostly genetic stuff. * Saiken inspects the electronic lock, pulls a card out from one of his pockets, and run it through the mechanism. The light on the lock turns green and the door slides open. Do we go in? Saiken draws a pistol, and steps into the room. * Rina shudders and hugs her arms, then she glares at the door with an unholy gleam in her eyes. "It's not good, whatever it is." *** Sayuri has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer ) *** Sayuri has joined #ChibiRPGLite (Wah!) *** Yonjuuni has joined #chibirpglite (...) (Strange.) *** Saiken sets mode: +v Sayuri *** Saiken sets mode: +v Yonjuuni *** Yoji has quit IRC (Read error: Connection reset by peer ) *** Yonjuuni is now known as Yoji *** Shiori has quit IRC (Ping timeout ) (I think a router blew up somewhere.) (Funky.) *** Shiori has joined #ChibiRPGLite *** Saiken sets mode: +v Shiori *** Saiken sets mode: +o Rina (In case it happens to me, too.) * Saiken inspects the electronic lock, pulls a card out from one of his pockets, and run it through the mechanism. The light on the lock turns green and the door slides open. Do we go in? Saiken draws a pistol, and steps into the room. * Rina shudders and hugs her arms, then she glares at the door with an unholy gleam in her eyes. "It's not good, whatever it is." Inside is... well, a lab. At the far right are a bank of computers, and there are numerous tables filled with lab things all over the place. There is a single man in the room, at one of the computers. He doesn't notice you entering, and Saiken aproaches him silently, pistol held out. * Yoji waits a moment, then cautiously follows Saiken into the room. * Rina peers into the room, glances down the way they came, then steps in. * Sayuri follows, and looks at the guy, n'his computers. * Saiken creeps up behind the only man in the room, and puts his run to the back of the man's neck. "Good evening. Stand up, please." The man stands, putting his hands over his head. He's wearing a lab coat. * Rina 's eyes widen, and her fists clench. She seems to have trouble staying where she is. Saiken tells him to turn around, and he does so. He looks at you all, and when he sees Rina his eyes grow wide and his face goes white(er). * Yoji watches Rina. *** Sayuri has quit IRC (Ping timeout ) "Say," says Saiken, "Is it just me or do you recognize the girl? It'd be trully unfortunate if you did, you know." *** Sayuri has joined #ChibiRPGLite * Rina notices this and shudders, and for a moment she looks like she's about to bolt. She directly into his eyes. *** Saiken sets mode: +v Sayuri The man seems very, very afraid of Rina. "Say, Rina. Why don't you give the good doctor here a love tap, hm?" * Rina tilts her head as she looks at the man, and she takes a few steps forward. "Can I ask him a question?" she requests, her voice soft. * Saiken thinks about that. "Sure, I guess. Try not to yell tho, please." Okay. * Sayuri taps her foot nervous.y (nervously, too.) * Yoji watches the proceedings veeeeery carefully. * Rina contiues walking forward until she's standing less than a foot from the man. "Why?" The man licks his lips and doesn't seem to be able to say anything. He's shaking visibly now, tho. * Rina 's gaze hardens. "I want to know. Just tell me." The main tries to talk, and a series of dry squeaks issue forth from his mouth. -i * Rina scowls and just punches the man across the face. "Asshole," she spits. "You're lucky." The man spins through a quarter circle and sprawls out across the floor. * Sayuri shakes her head, and walks over to his computer. "Well, there's unauthorized access, and then there's unauthorized access. Hopefully this guy has good stuff." * Yoji sighs. * Saiken nods. "Shiori, you go watch the hallway, please. * Rina crouches down and checks the man's pulse. The man's pulse is racing away. * Yoji walks over to Rina. "He was one of the people who operated, right?" The man was apparently still logged in. On the screen at the moment is a CAD image of some doodad or other. Yeah. I think so. Or he was involved in it... he recognized me. Pretty picture. He looked afraid of you... Are we here for retrieval, or wholesale data slaughter? He should. Well, we're here for the former, but if we have some time a bit of the latter wouldn't hurt. ...actually, that's understating things. He looked like he was about to have a heart attack when he saw you... * Sayuri shrugs as she traverses trees. "I hope you brought somewhere to put them on, Saiken dear." * Rina nods. "I'd like nothing more than to kill him right now. Or throw him against the wall a few times. Or both." She considers and leans over to the man's ear. "Actually, I might still do that, silence be damned. Why?" "What, you mean you don't always carry a spare?" He pulls out a disk as he says this, tho. "Look for the telemetry recieving program. If we can shut that down, we won't have to worry about ...stuff. If you can find any diagrams for what's in her, that'd be helpful, too." * Sayuri chuckles, and nods. "Rather not waste mine on yours." * Sayuri gets to serious searching and downloading and stuff. * Saiken turns to Rina. "No more violence, please. We'll probably be taking this man back with us. He could have useful information." He pauses. "If you want, you could help with the investigation." * Yoji starts to wander around the room, looking for something interesting. * Rina nods and looks down at the man. "You going to make sure he doesn't do anything weird, then?" 2d6-5 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (2d6-5) and gets 2. 2d6-3 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (2d6-3) and gets 4. (Well, there aren't any magazines or televisions, if that's what you're lookin' for, Yoji. ^_~) (Of course not. Just wondering what they're working on. :P ) 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Sayuri (2d6-4) and gets 2. * Sayuri smiles. "S'a piece of die." * Sayuri smiles softly as she clicks around. I can blow this system away, right? * Saiken comes over to where Sayuri's sitting. "Prolly, yeah. Might wanna disable the rest of the profiles first, tho." Mmm. Good point. *clickyclickyclicky* * Sayuri whistles, and says softly... "Fourteen. Fourteen profiles besides Rinas..." * Sayuri growls at the computer. So... they did this to fourteen more people? * Rina stiffens as she hears this. Fourteen? Fourteen others?" That's...that's just disgusting. * Sayuri nods sadly. * Saiken shakes his head. I've got their stuff here... and schematics out the ass. Hopefully this can be put to good use. * Rina sits on the floor and looks over at Sayuri. "If there were fourteen others, and we don't know how many got away, then..." They're disabled, Rina. Nobody's going to be blown away by the I13. * Rina blinks. Disabled? Their tracking stuff is turned off. For everyone. * Rina nods slowly. Okay. So if any are still alive, they can at least... get away. Alive and running in the first place, I mean. * Sayuri pulls a disk from her backpack. "Exactly. And now to finish the job." * Rina looks down at the man and shakes her head. "You are so very lucky." She stands to her full five feet in height and watches Sayuri do her work. * Sayuri nods once, and packs up. "Alright. We're set here. Schematics gone, everyone safe. And if the need arises, the whole system goes down at my command.\ * Sayuri grins. "I love my life." * Rina grins at that. "Thanks, Sayuri." * Yoji smiles. "Well, that's something, at least." * Saiken chuckles. "Good job. Now, let's depart." He pulls a small flat device out of his pocket and pushes a button on it. * Sayuri chuckles, and smiles weakly. "People should be free. That's all." They should, yeah. *blinks* Hey, where's Shiori? Watching the hall, wasn't she? None of you notice Shiori at first. Despite the fact that she's standing in plain sight at the door. Ah, yeah. But I don't see- * Rina blinks. "Oh." * Sayuri frowns. "C'mon, c'mon. Even the superwoman Dejiko can't fight these guys forever. We should go." Saiken motions towards the door. "Alright. Let's go." He walks through the door, loks both ways, and motions for everyone to follow. Right, right. * Yoji follows. * Rina walks over to Shiori and tugs on her sleeve. "C'mon." Saiken sets off down the hall at a jog, and, naturally, you all follow. Soon you're out of the facility, up the ladder, and back in the helicoptor. Innit nice? * Shiori follows the others out. (Wonderful. ;P) (Alright. Y'all wanna call it a night there?) (If you want.) ( Fine with me. ) (Sure.) (If that's the end. ^_~) (Okie. ^_^) END OF SESSION. THERE, NOW THAT WASN'T SO BAD, WAS IT?
