* Jae-Eun blinks sleepily from the stairs, dressed adorably in hello kitty 
pajamas. Her hair's in disarray, and her glasses are crooked. "Eui-Tae?" she 
asks (in Korean, of course).
* Eui-Tae whispers to Jae-Eun "Yeah, it's me. (English)"
* Eui-Tae whispers "Err, Yeah, it's me. (Korean)."
<Eui-Tae> What are you doing up this late?
* Jae-Eun yawns again.
<Jae-Eun> Was waitin' for you.  Kind of.
* Jae-Eun blinks, then runs over to Eui-Tae and hugs him. "You were gone for 
days!"
* Eui-Tae hugs her back, "Yeah, I know... I'm probably going to be gone much 
longer though. I just came home to pick up some things. How's mother?"
* Jae-Eun stops hugging and punches Eui. "Jerk!"
* Jae-Eun steps on Eui's foot for good measure.
* Eui-Tae oofs and rubs his foot.
<Eui-Tae> Okay, I know what the first one's for, but what about the second one?
* Jae-Eun puts her hands on her hips, looking as intimdating as a twelve-year-
old wearing hello kitty can be. "Dad's still on that business trip, and we 
didn't wanna tell him yet. Mom sent out the police after you, and she's been 
worried sick! She slipped two whole ranks!"
* Eui-Tae gets a worried expression on his face. "... Ah shit.
<Jae-Eun> Yeah, no shit!  You'd better tell her you're okay.
* Jae-Eun grabs Eui-Tae by the arm and starts pulling him up the stairs.
<Eui-Tae> Okay... but what should I tell her.
* Eui-Tae gets pulled.
* Jae-Eun blinks. "Huh? Well, uh, where've you been... and... stuff."
<Jae-Eun> And that you'll stay inside for the next three years, because I bet 
that's how long you're grounded for. ^^
<Eui-Tae> She wouldn't believe it.  Hell, I almost don't believe it.
* Jae-Eun turns and pulls Eui-Tae into her room. "Believe *what*?"
<Eui-Tae> ...  You sure you're ready to hear this?  You'll probably never see 
the world the same way again.
* Eui-Tae thinks a little more. "What ever happened to that pigeon?"
<Jae-Eun> Um.  Well, he's here.
* Jae-Eun points out the cage with the pigeon. "We took him to a vet, and he 
said he can't be healed and we'd might as well just kill him, but I can't do 
it."
<Eui-Tae> You're the best sister I could have, ya know that?
* Jae-Eun grins. "Thanks, Eui. Now spill."
* Eui-Tae gulps.
<Eui-Tae> Pretty much, after I helped that bird out, a ring came from out of the 
sky.
* Eui-Tae shows Jae-Eun his ring.
<Jae-Eun> ... A ring?  Didja give it- okay, I guess you didn't give it back.
<Eui-Tae> After I slipped it on, I was transported or teleported... or something 
to a remote island in the Pacific.
<Eui-Tae> Hope Island, you ever hear of it?
* Jae-Eun looks at Eui-Tae blankly. "No?"
<Eui-Tae> No wonder, 'cuz neither did I.  To make a long story short, we were 
summoned there by the 'spirit of the earth' to stop her from being hurt or 
killed.  It's really cheezy, you won't believe it, but that's what happened.  I 
got here using a plane that was left over from someone who was on the island 
earlier.
<Eui-Tae> Hrmm... did I leave anything out... Oh, the ring.
<Jae-Eun> ... Uh.
* Jae-Eun blinks a couple times, then laughs. "Dude! Where'd you get your sense 
of humor? I thought you didn't have one!"
* Eui-Tae looks at Jae-Eun seriously. "This isn't a joke."
* Jae-Eun grins. "Yeah, suuuuure it isn't."
* Eui-Tae sighs. "You want proof, right?
<Jae-Eun> If it's real, why don'tcha have proof?
<Eui-Tae> I have proof, I just can't show it here... I don't want to ruin your 
room.
* Jae-Eun folds her arms. "Right. Uh huh. I don't believe you, and you'd better 
tell Mom that you're here anyway. She's gonna be soooo pissed."
<Eui-Tae> Yeah, mom first...
<Eui-Tae> But what the heck should I tell her.
* Eui-Tae walks out her room and peeks in to see if his mom's in the middle of a 
match.
<Ardweden> She is!  But she doesn't seem to be doing a very good job.  Her 
timing's way off... good enough to kick your butt any day, but she's losing 
nonetheless.
* Jae-Eun pokes her head in from behind Eui. "See what I mean?" she whispers.
* Eui-Tae winces as he looks in. "Yeah. I'll tell her after the match... it 
shouldn't be too long."
* Jae-Eun nodnods.
* Eui-Tae closes his eyes.
* Jae-Eun blinks at Eui-Tae, then goes back to watching her mother's match.
* Fatima has joined #home
* Eui-Tae opens his eyes again.
<Ardweden> The doorbell rings!  Jae-Eun dashes downstairs.
* Eui-Tae mutters to himself. "Oh shit."
* Jose has joined #home
* Eui-Tae creeps downstairs.
* Jae-Eun opens the door and blinks at Fatima and Jose.
<Jose> Hi there.
* Eui-Tae arrives downstairs as the formalities ensue. "Quiet guys."
* Fatima stands there looking sexy and Arabic. "Excuse us, we have come looking 
for Eui-Tae." English! Eui speaks English. Maybe his family does!
* Jae-Eun is a twelve-year-old asian girl wearing Hello Kitty pajamas and large 
wire-rim glasses. "<Can I help you?>" she asks in Korean, then blinks and looks 
over at Eui-Tae. "<Y'know them?>"
<Eui-Tae> (<> means Korean, normal means english.)
<Jose> (rgr.)
<Eui-Tae> <Yeah, they were dragged into this mess too.>
<Jae-Eun> <Ooh, sure.  Uh huh.  That mess.>
<Eui-Tae> <Let's see... Jose is from> South America.  (Names are universal. ;) )
* Jae-Eun nods, then smiles at the nice weird people playing a prank on her. 
"Hi! I'm Jae-Eun."
<Jose> How ya doing?
<Jose> Hey Eui-Tae, how's the situation going?
* Eui-Tae looks back at Jae-Eun. <So, how much English have you been learning?>
* Jae-Eun gives Eui-Tae a V for Victory. "<Top of my class.>"
* Fatima extends her hand. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Jae-Eun. My name is 
Fatima."
<Eui-Tae> It's okay... mom's in the middle of a match though...  She's been 
loosing matches because of me. :/
* Jae-Eun blinks at Fatima's hand, then shakes with her other hand. Except it's 
the left. Oh well. "Nice to meet you."
<Eui-Tae> She even called the police on me.  I need proof of what we came in 
here, but I don't want to destroy the house.
* Fatima looks blank. "Matches?"
<Eui-Tae> (*kicks the typo demon*)
<Jae-Eun> Yeah, Mom's in the top seed!
<Eui-Tae> ??!!  What? She won?
<Eui-Tae> Man, I didn't think anyone could get back after that.
<Jose> Ok.
* Jae-Eun eeps and covers her mouth, then looks up at the stairs. She glances at 
Eui-Tae and nodnods. "<Didn't know you were gone yet. I sorta kept it a 
secret.>"
<Eui-Tae> "< Wait...  Mom didn't even notice I was gone?>
<Jae-Eun> <I just noticed you were gone.  And I really thought you just fell 
asleep at that cafe down the street.  You do it all the time.>"
* Fatima tilts her head. "I'm sorry, I don't speak Korean." A statement of fact 
made in the most possible way of saying 'Don't be rude, ahaha, don't mind me.'
<Eui-Tae> <Heh, that doesn't surprise me too much.>  What? Oh, sorry Fatima.
* Jae-Eun blinks, then laughs nervously. "Oh yeah, English. So, um... you guys 
are gonna save the world, too?"
<Eui-Tae> Oh, Jae, could you get mom before she starts another match?
<Jae-Eun> Huh?  Um, okay.
* Jae-Eun scrambles up the stairs.
<Eui-Tae> I'm still going to have to explain this to mom.
* Jae-Eun pokes her head back down. "<No running away!>" She vanishes back up 
the stairs again.
<Eui-Tae> I'll call it a 'job.'
<Eui-Tae> You guys with me?
* Fatima laughs. "Volunteer work for an environmental organization, perhaps?" 
She blinks. "Wow. That is actually more plausible than I had expected."
<Jose> Sure.
* Jae-Eun 's voice can be heard, yelling in Korean. "<Mom! Get off the game! 
Eui's home!>"
<Eui-Tae> Well, maybe, maybe not.
* Eui-Tae swears in Chinese, Korean, and English.
* Fatima blushes faintly. "I hadn't realized how hard this would be for you."
* Eui-Tae facepalms. "This is going to be a lot harder now... Mom's a 
professional gamer."
* Jae-Eun comes running down the stairs, a fourty-some year old woman trailing 
her, dressed in an oversized t-shirt and flannel pants. The woman blinks at the 
group, then notices Eui-Tae and glares at him. "<Eui-Tae, where the *hell* have 
you been?>"
* Fatima looks like Eui just sprouted wings. "A professional... gamer?"
* Eui-Tae shrinks from her glare. "I've been, well, oh shit, how the heck am I 
supposed to explain this to you and make it believable."
* EuisMom scowls and folds her arms. "<And in Korean, young man. I'm not in the 
mood to decipher English.>"
* Jae-Eun smiles sheepishly from where she is and tries to shrink into the 
background.
<Eui-Tae> <Sorry, well, I guess I should start from the begining.>
* Fatima looks at Jose. Obviously, he knows all the answers. He didn't grow up 
in the desert. "Professional gamer?" she repeats.
<Fatima> ( If you think I won't go through 8every last person in this scene* 
until someone answers me, you're wrong. ;)
* Jose shrugs his shoulders.
<Eui-Tae> <It started a few days ago, when I kept a pigeon from getting trounced 
by a bunch of boys.  The poor thing's in Jae's room right now.  After that, a 
strange ring came from the sky and bounced me on my head.  Once I put it on, I 
was transported somehow to a island in the Pacific...  Hope Island.>
* Eui-Tae displays his ring, and tries to look as believeable as possible.
* EuisMom blinks at Eui-Tae. "<Right. Sure. Eui-Tae, get to your room. You're 
grounded for the next three- no, make that *four* years. That's the saddest 
excuse I've ever heard someone come up with.>"
* Jae-Eun grimaces.
* Fatima turns to Jae-Eun and her look has become hawk-sharp. "Professional 
gamer? What are they saying? Why does Eui-Tae look like someone shot him?"
<Jose> I didn't like the tone of her voice there...
<Eui-Tae> <Okay, I hoped I wouldn't have to come to this, but I do have proof.>  
Jose, Fatima, mind accompanying me?
<Fatima> ( Why can this damn ring be like a universal translator?! )
<Jose> Alright.
<Eui-Tae> <Mom, mind comming outside?>
* Jae-Eun eeps and edges over to Fatima. She whispers, "Mom just told Eui-Tae 
he's grounded forever, which is really close to being shot. And yeah, 
professional gamer. Y'know, like sports."
* Fatima blinks. "Like, polo? Tennis? Synchronized swimming?"
* EuisMom scowls. "<Yes, I mind. I sent the *police* after you, Eui! Why the 
hell did you run off like that?>"
* Eui-Tae shouts back at her <Because I didn't have a fuckin' choice!>
* Jae-Eun says quickly, "Like that- <uh oh>."
* Jae-Eun runs over to Eui and grabs him by the arm. "<He didn't mean to! I, uh, 
I mean, he's... got a scholarship! Volunteering for Greenpeace!>"
* EuisMom glares at Jae-Eun, who eeps.
<Eui-Tae> (So, who likes my family?)
* Fatima sighs and rubs her temples.
* Jae-Eun presses on. "<And, um... and these are the other applicants! See, they 
got in, too! They were just... he forgot to tell you, didn't he?>"
<Fatima> ( The ring does mind control, right? I just need to wish really hard 
and keep my happy thought. )
<Ardweden> (Limited mind control. ;P)
<Fatima> ( *waves ring at Eui's mom* You are now... a chicken! )
<Eui-Tae> (I wish.)
<Jose> (Or mind control your opponent in OrcCraft in Space to lose!)
<Eui-Tae> (That's OrCraft in Space 3, mind you.)
<EuisMom> <... Right.  Sure.  And why didn't you tell me this earlier?>
* EuisMom eyes Eui.
<Jae-Eun> <He forgot!  He was so happy that he took->
* Eui-Tae is stunned a little. <Because I didn't think you'd believe me.>
* EuisMom silences Jae-Eun with a look, who covers her mouth.
<EuisMom> <And a story about teleportation is *more* believable?>
* Eui-Tae pauses with his mouth open. <Point.>
* Fatima crosses her arms over her chest and plasters on a diplomatically 
neutral smile. Lalala, NPCs are the scum of the earth, it doesn't matter if 
another one dies... o/`
<Jose> (Maybe I can use my leadership skill.)
* EuisMom rubs at her forehead. "<Look, Eui. I'm glad you're home. Really, I am. 
I've been so worried...>" She sighs.
<Jose> (Aura of Command. I command you to unpunish Eui-Tae!!!)
* Jae-Eun blurts, "<If you want, I can go with him! And make sure he doesn't get 
into trouble.>"
<Eui-Tae> (That definetly don't work.)
* Eui-Tae looks at Jae-Eun as if she's nuts.
<Fatima>  ( If you'll just sign these consent forms, Jae, where we change you 
into a penguin... )
<Fatima> ( Just "wak" on the dotted line. )
<Jae-Eun> (Waaak.)
<Eui-Tae> <Well, I'm glad you feel that way, but I'm going to have to be leaving 
soon.  My friends here are waiting on me.>
* Jae-Eun beams. "<'Cause I just found out that I'm a junior Greenpeace member! 
Isn't that cool?>"
* EuisMom eyes Jae-Eun, then groans. "<Your father would be so proud, but I 
think my head is going to implode.>" She blinks, then frowns and looks over at 
Eui-Tae. "<I want confirmation. What number do I call?>"
<Eui-Tae> <I'm really sorry I didn't tell you sooner, or call you, or something, 
but I really couldn't help it.>
* EuisMom eyes Jae-Eun, then groans. "<Your father would be so proud, but I 
think my head is going to implode.>" She blinks, then frowns and looks over at 
Eui-Tae. "<I want confirmation. What number do I call?>"
* Eui-Tae thinks a little bit. He then hands his mother a scrap of paper with a 
number on it.
<Fatima> ( 1-800-WAKWAKWAKWAK )
* EuisMom takes it and heads upstairs, presumably for a phone.
<Eui-Tae> <That should have the number.>
<Jose> (ROFL.)
<Fatima> ( I will DIE if Spanky answers the phone. "Wak?" "..." )
<Eui-Tae> Fatima, hurry and tell Zieg that she's going to call soon about a 
Greenpeace scholarship.
* Jae-Eun fidgets. "<We're doomed. I think I'd better write my will and 
testiment.>"
<Eui-Tae> I really can't do this without you... if mom finds out the truth she's 
gonna go psycho and ruin my life.
* Fatima blinks. "Tell him how?" She sighs. "We really need to invest in real 
cel phones. I will note it when I get home." She clasps her hands and mutters, 
"Heart."
<Jae-Eun> Like she won't anyway. ^_^
<Eui-Tae> I have a cell-phone, but if I call him her call whould be blocked.  
You can also talk without speaking in person.
<Fatima> ( Do I fail to penetrate Zieg's thick skull? ;)
<Eui-Tae> (Probably)
<Fatima> ( Heh. Unsurprising. You'd need a power drill with a diamond bit to get 
in. )
<Eui-Tae> (I doubt that'd even scratch it... Carbon Nano-tubes anyone?)
<Jose> (Try absolute zero temperatures, then a sledgehammer.)
<Eui-Tae> (Ziggy's gettin' in trouble)
* Eui-Tae looks at Jae-Eun "<Do you really believe what I told you?>"
* Jae-Eun beams. "<Not a word!>"
* Fatima looks nervous and twitchy. It doesn't become her.
<Jae-Eun> <I just think you're crazy, and I wanna see what you're up to.  So I'm 
tagging along.  You wouldn't leave your poor sister out in the cold, would you?>
<Eui-Tae> ... <Alright, but the instant things get dangerous, and they will, 
you're going home, got it?>
<Eui-Tae> <I know I can't talk you out of it.>
* Jae-Eun rolls her eyes. "<Right, right, you're gonna save the world. 
Whatever.>"
* Eui-Tae looks at the rest of the group, and motions to Jae-Eun, "Looks like 
we're gonna be babysiting for a little."
<Jae-Eun> Hey!  I am not a baby!
* Jae-Eun steps on Eui-Tae's foot.
<Jose> I understood THAT one.
* Fatima chuckles. "It will be a good experience for her, perhaps. We're going 
to visit a great many nations over the next few days. It would be more than I 
had at her age."
<Eui-Tae> Ouch.  What'd I do?
<Eui-Tae> Hrmm... you may have a point.  But I don't want her getting in 
trouble.
* Eui-Tae thinks. "We should probably take that pigeon along too. We'd be able 
to take much better care of it overthere."
* Fatima blinks. "Pigeon? You have a pet?"
<Jae-Eun> Um.  Well, if you think so, maybe.
<Eui-Tae> I suppose we do now.  Did you give it a name yet?
<Eui-Tae> Ehem... him.
<Jae-Eun> Nope!  I didn't think he'd live this long.
* Jae-Eun smiles, then it falters a little. She shrugs and scuffs at the ground. 
"Well, um... I actually called him Timmy a few times. Not that it means 
anything. And, uh... don't tell Mom. She told me not to get attached."
<Eui-Tae> Neither did I.
<Eui-Tae> Timmy? Well, that's a better name than Spanky.
* Fatima chuckles. She "wak"s mysteriously. Once.
<Jae-Eun> Spanky?  What kinda dumb name is that?
<Eui-Tae> Just, don't...  You'll find out when we get ther.
* Jae-Eun shrugs. "Okay."
<Eui-Tae> (There)
<Jose> I uh... need to go to the bathroom. Ill see you and Fatima later ok guys?
* Jose runs off toward the Geo.
<Jae-Eun> But you can use the bath- never mind.
<Eui-Tae> ...  Right, you could have just used the one in the hou...
* Fatima shakes her head. "I think he just was feeling a little too tense. It is 
understandable, you must see."
<Eui-Tae> Either that or he needed an excuse to run away.
* EuisMom walks down the stairs and frowns at Eui and Jae.
<Eui-Tae> Well, how did it go?
<Eui-Tae> Ehem... <How did it go?>
* Fatima folds her hands in front of her and attempts to look respectable.
* Jose has quit IRC (Quit:  )
<EuisMom> <I'm letting you go.  But I'm going to need to see the paperwork on 
this, I demand postcards, and I don't care about what kind of shit they feed me, 
you two are *going* to call me at least once every two days.  If they complain 
about the bills, it's not a problem.>"
<Eui-Tae> <... Alright, that shouldn't be a problem.>
<Eui-Tae> <I understand your concern, and thank you.>
* Jae-Eun salutes. "<We'll be good! I'll make sure he doesn't spend all his time 
goofing off and goes and saves whales and stuff!>"
<Fatima> ( I like her. It's a shame she has to die to awaken the true power of 
Eui's ring. )
* Eui-Tae nods. "<We just have to do a little packing.>
* EuisMom chuckles. "<Well. Get packing. When is your flight?>"
<Jae-Eun> (I'm the second sanest character here!  After the penguin.)
* Fatima chuckles. "Eui-Tae... I will meet you at the 'airport'." She bows to 
his mother. "An honor to meet you."
* Eui-Tae looks at his watch. "<Very soon... as in tonight.>"
<Eui-Tae> Alright Fatima.
* EuisMom looks disappointed. "<Well, all right. I'll help you pack.>" She nods 
to Fatima. "A pleasure meeting you, too."
* Eui-Tae waves to Fatima.
* Fatima nods once, then beats a nice fast retreat before she cracks.
<Ardweden> And session end over here.  My brain's going poof.
